Quayside Hotel & Bar

Check in was a long wait as only one member of staff on duty and the bar was busy, she was friendly though. Our room was in excess of 37 degrees. There was a fan but it made a noise but didn’t work. We told the staff member and she said they were full so no other room was available. Presumably no other fans either. Absolute hell. Room 12 was in the attic up two difficult flights of stairs. One mattress had a spring digging in which was not nice. The room stayed really hot all night. We did not sleep at all. Dinner was excellent as was breakfast. We tried to take our bags down the two flights and the door into reception was locked despite a large notice saying it opens at 7am a d it was 755am. We then had to lift the bags back up, along the whole length of the hotel through fire doors and then down other stairs. Then we could t get back in for a few minutes. Nightmare! Staff on duty at breakfast asked how our night was , I explained. She said , oh dear amd walked away. No offer of compensation, no real apology. The food was excellent. The wine good but at £9 ish a glass expensive. My review, don’t go there unless you want a nice meal with no alcohol.

This was the second time we have stayed with you, last year it was really great. Before we checked in we had such a warm welcome and it was amazing. The food was fantastic and we were even offered an umbrella to walk into town. Unfortunately this time we had no water from the afternoon we checked in until 8.30 the next morning. We told the lady behind the bar (who was a different person) but she kind of dismissed us and was rude. I was very disappointed that no apology for the lack of water was given or even an offer of a bottle of water to brush our teeth with or fill the kettle. Also no ‘normal’ tv channels were available. Only the LG ones Such a shame as the room is lovely and a very handy place to stay

Just simply a lovely place to stay. Staff were helpful, pleasant and sociable. Hotel was clean, rooms are small but perfectly formed and the evening meal ( not included in price) was first class. Breakfast was continental with lots of choice and no set amounts. If you’re thinking about staying here just book it, you won’t be disappointed. Would definitely use again when in area.

Check-in was pretty straightforward and good. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was well laid out with the necessary amenities including a refrigerator. Breakfast was good and restaurant menu great especially the 'Quayside burger' special. First time in Boston, and loved it. I've already recommended the hotel to a colleague, who's already stayed there for 2 nights.

Perfect location and property

Lovely place to stay. Easy Nd straightforward check-in and check-put, very friendly and helpful staff, and great room/location. The only reason why I've given 4 stars is because the bed was too firm for me. We would stay again however.

Room was small but very adequate. Unfortunately during my stay there was a heatwave making the room very hot as there was no air con . Fan was provided but still had to take cold showers to cool down . Not the property’s fault there was extreme temperatures. Parking provided . 10mins walk to the town . Overall good stay over .

Everything was fine apart from we didn’t have any more milk pots And teabags won’t filled up in our room on Sunday, as we had to go and buy some milk from the shop and some teabags But apart from that, everything was wonderful

The room was clean, but the shower room could do with a deep clean. Yellow around plug area and taps on sink. Vents very dusty. The shower wasn't working. Door to reception said open from 7am but it didn't open till 8am house keeper came to look at the shower who also couldn't get it working so opened up an unoccupied room for me to use the shower Staff were fantastic. Ate in the restaurant Saturday night. Again staff were very accommodating and friendly. Food was fantastic

The room was modern and relatively nice. It was by far the warmest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in, on a day that wasn’t overly warm outside. A stand alone aircon unit was provided but it was far too noisy to be able to sleep with. I was given the key to another guests room, who I walked in on asleep at 10.30pm much to his and my surprise. Another room organised relatively quickly but nobody was on site meaning they had to get someone down. Leaving at 7am the next day still nobody on site. No follow up calls or apologies as of writing this 3 days later

This room was so much better than we expected from a bar hotel. The room was spotless, recently upgraded and modernized, and had tons of choices for coffee and tea. The staff was very nice and friendly. Parking was easy and very close to the door. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Friendly staff, room was spot on very clean and bed was comfortable. Food was really nice aswel

The food was fantastic, very nicely presented and good choices for all appetites. Wish I lived nearer, then I would be able to “eat “ my way through the menu .

Got in carpark and extra on road

Hotel was lovely. Room nice and clean and a lovely huge bathroom .

Room was great. Waterfall shower is very nice. Staff are very freindly and the food is good. Plenty of choice, never had a bad meal

Stayed due to works party, fantastic attentive staff, couldn't wish for anything more.
