Fantastic location right on the harbour, lots to see and do within walking distance. Located in a building separate to the main restaurant/bar, so no issue with any noise. Lovely breakfast in the restaurant each morning. Note no parking and your best option is the Harbour arm carpark, which is £20 for 24hours.

All was just delightful. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, location was close to perfect, room was very clean and tidy, small, indie shops close by. All made for really lovely weekend. The only small criticism we had was the sound quality on the TV. Thank you Rocksalt. We would definitely return.

Lovely restaurant and a great room. We were initially surprised to find that the rooms are in a separate building to the restaurant but this didn't dampen the experience. It's a very short walk and still on the harbour - in fact it was probably better for us as coming and going was so quick and easy. The décor in the rooms is excellent and the service was lovely. We were leaving early, before the breakfast service, so we were offered a lovely little breakfast hamper which was delivered to our room.

Nydelig rom. Litt smal seng og lite bad, men rent og pent. Veldig god frokost. Også veldig god middag, men gjennomgående brukte de som serverte oss lenger tid enn vi forventet.
Flott fiskehavn og sjarmerende by som gjorde oppholdet hyggelig, samtidig var det også motordur og aktiviteter veldig tidlig på morgenen rett utenfor rommet. Skulle gjerne hatt litt mer ro da.

Decent room but bathroom needs improvement
We recently stayed at Rocksalt Rooms in Folkestone. The room itself was comfortable and nicely appointed – we had no issues there and enjoyed the location right by the harbour.
Unfortunately, the bathroom was a real letdown for a longer stay. The shower left the floor and toilet completely soaked every time, and the sink was far too tiny, which made daily routines awkward. These issues made the bathroom impractical, especially given the wet-room style setup.

We had a lovely stay for one night, it is the perfect location, making it easy to walk everywhere. We had everything we needed. We had a sea view, but unfortunately, it was covered with scaffolding, which was disappointing! The breakfast was really nice, and you had plenty of choices to pick from.

Lovely little guest house. We stayed in the Kitten room. There was a fold out bed as well as the double and single, so we managed to squeeze four in. Ideal for a short stay and the restaurant staff were super helpful and friendly in helping us get settled. Breakfast was also amazing with a great view.

Difficult to find, on a fishmarket, no way to check in earlier then 3pm (even when the room is ready), but Folkestone is great, that makes it more then okay! Room is small but very cosy. No closets, bathroom is small and not practical. Good bed, super view, great (expensive) diner at Rocksalt restaurant.

The room was in a great location,close to attractions and many restaurants. Breakfast was lovely.
But the lighting was poor in the room. No ceiling light.
Nowhere to store clothes.
Nowhere to put bathroom products, or a shelf for a toothbrush etc. No toilet roll holder.
Could have done with a sheet on the beds to sleep under on hot days.
Fridge didnt feel cold.

Only small comment would be that in the summer when the day starts really early, the shutters don't really block the light so we were not able to have much of a lie in - although this is personal preference and only a small comment on an otherwise lovely stay.

The Team at Rocksalt are absolutely fantastic. The size of the room, especially the bathroom, is the drawback. For a short weekend stay probably fine but if you have luggage the lack of space, no closet and a bathroom with a only a v small hand-sink in it doesn’t work well. I also hit my head on the unfortunately placed bathroom wall light which was right infront of the corner hand-sink.p
