Lovely warm welcome, brilliant location, amazing views of both beach and harbour. Comfortable bed and wonderful breakfast

Welcoming check in with friendly and professional service. Everything was spotlessly clean. The room had a wonderful view of the beach and was light and airy with huge windows the bed comfortable and very quiet at night. The breakfast was nicely presented and enjoyable. If we were to nit pick, although the shower cubicle was glass, it was rather small and a flexible hose to the shower head, as opposed to the rigid pipe would be a great improvement.

Very friendly owners, flexible with breakfast times for early starters. Right on the sea front & easy walking to pubs, restaurants & take-aways. Good range of breakfasts offered.

The owners are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Location is perfect with steps to the beach and dining options.

Lovely beachfront hotel in a perfect location close to the harbour and town centre. Very nice full English breakfast in dining room overlooking the beach. The owners were very helpful and made our stay a pleasure. Look forward to our next visit!

Fresh, clean decor. Very welcoming hostess. Comfortable and spacious room. Comfy bed. Ensuite with walk in shower. Clean and well maintained throughout. Good breakfast. Perfect for visiting the Pavilion Theatre, 2 minutes walk away and the huge beach, just across the road. Would definitely stay here again if ever back in the area.

We had a wonderful stay at The Anchorage, Sarah and Jamie were excellent host and made our stay very comfortable. The room overlooking the bay was stunning and loved sitting in the window watching the world go by. Perfect location for restaurants, pubs and shops. Would highly recommend

Grast guest house, and Sarah was a fantastic host. Very attentative and had a great knowledge of the area. Freshly cooked breakfast every day. And the guest house is in a great location the sea in front and working harbour behind. Our room had a lovely bay window where we sat and watched the world go by. Nice location, between the beach and the harbour. Very hospitable hosts, who welcomed me on the first day and maintained a cheerful approach throughout my stay. First class breakfast and although not strictly ensuite bathroom, there was a dedicated bathroom a floor down just for me which was excellent.

Lovely spot close to both the beach and the old harbour. Owners were very friendly and the breakfast delicious.

Close to town beach views from top floor room. Lovely hosts. Room was clean and quiet bed very comfortable. Tea and Coffee in room. Toilet outside room but next door so not a problem for me. Freshly cooked breakfast was lovely.

I only needed a one night stay so did not really benefit from the brilliant location; almost on the beach and so close to the harbour. The place was spotless and immaculate and the landlady pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was fine. The room was comfortable. I am not a great fan of addition of ensuites by building pods inside the room but everything worked and room was not cramped.
