This is a 100 yr old property that has been updated but a while ago. The rooms are small but the owner/staff was excellent and the stay was enjoyable. They included a made to order breakfast. Peterlee is a little out of the way but matched where we were going. Just stayed one night.

Friendly staff and excellent cooked breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Easy check in and check out. The room could do with a lick of paint. The lights and fridge made a buzzing noise.

Stay here for one night as skydiving nearby. Needed to be out early so missed breakfast. The staff however stocked our fridge with milk, yoghurt, fruit and cereal for the morning. Really friendly staff. Great location if you are skydiving at Shotton. Would stay again.

A really lovely quiet hotel, there arent many in the area. All very clean, lovely bedroom and superb breakfast with a friendly smile. Checkin was smooth and the lady was really friendly and showed me to my room and also served me a few well poured guinness later that evening. Thank you i will certainly stay again.
They didn't serve an evening meal but plenty of options not too far away.

The welcome was great snd very efficient, the room clean with everything you could need. The staff were so warm and friendly, remembered my name and very helpful in recommending places to eat as I was on my own. Incredibly good value- highly recommended

I was in the little single room and it is cosy. But it was just me so it was fine. Really lovely stay - everyone so welcoming and so helpful. Breakfast included was amazing. Amenities in the room with great plenty of power points and was even a little microwave out in the hallway, so I could heat up a ready meal in the evening after being on the beaches all day scouring for Seaglass! I’ll definitely book again - thank you for a really nice stay
