The room was just about acceptable however the bathroom was completely unacceptable. Like a cupboard with nowhere to place personable possessions. The windows did not close properly therefore the road noise was severe.

My room was at the front of the hotel with an amazing view of the sea front from 3 huge windows. A classic old English seaside hotel with a lot of character, seems to be slowly and unobtrusively getting some updates - think my room has been recently refreshed and another nearby was being decorated, but it wasn't at all disruptive or very noticeable as it went on. Had everything you need and seconds away from the sea front.

Clean and friendly place to stay no frills stay. The room was freshly decorated but no pictures and the lighting was harsh with no bedside lamps. The WiFi was poor with no internet in the room. Staff were helpful and friendly great for a visit to the theatres.

Lovely looking Hotel, friendly reception on arrival. Nice room, but had to move rooms in the middle of the night after being bitten by a bedbug, the staff pulled up the carpet the next morning and found more bedbugs lurking but didn't give a fig for my welfare and didn't seem at all concerned with my experience.

We had a nice stay, we brought our dog, in the booking process there was no way of booking for a dog but when we arrived we just said we had a dog and we paid an extra ten pounds so that was fab and no hassle. The room was clean and bright and very spacious, but it was quite warm so sleeping was a little difficult. A fan was provided which was great but the sash window only opened four inches or so, so it was quite hard to get a breeze going, I assume the windows are fixed like this as a safety precaution but maybe a few more inches could help with air flow.

We didn’t really know what to expect as we have never been to Eastbourne before but the hotel and our balcony were just splendid! We really enjoyed our time on our balcony and every employee we encountered was courteous and kind.
