Breakfast was paid for but they dont do breakfast

Although the stay was comfortable & clean with great shower i was delayed getting into the room. Questioned the hotel that i booked the room including breakfast to be told it was their fault for not changing information on hotels.com. There wasn't an offer of free drink or something else which i thought should possibly have been.

No breakfast in the morning. Room next door woke both of us up, when asked to to be quiet after midnight, bangings of doors talking loudly, even though they said to eachother to be quiet. very strong smell of cannabis, after asking to be quiet.

Wonderful modernisation of an old property, retaining its original atmosphere both externally and above all internally. Very successful upgrade of guestroom to the standard of a good modern hotel. The hotel staff were exemplary, most especially the young woman who looked after us on arrival, served drinks at the bar and served our breakfast.

Very comfortable family room. Spacious, with separate twin room for children. Very comfortable beds. Nice food & atmosphere in pub

Average throughout in terms of comfort and cleanliness. The check-in and service was a little chaotic and short on attention.

Pas d'eau dans la douche en 3 jours, wc bouchés, pas de papier toilettes de réserve, et le dernier jour il a fallu attendre dans un couloir que la fille du petit déjeuner arrive 25 minutes en retard. J'attends une compensation

A very comfortable place to stay

Impersonal perhaps because out of season but saw nobody in the morning.

Handy for Okehampton

No-one appeared in the morning other than the chef so it was a bit chaotic. But when eventually someone did there was no apology.

Really poor value for money, tired and foul smelling room, no breakfast on the first morning and no hot water on the second. Awful value for money and would not recommend or stay again.

We enjoyed Okehampton for its local facilities and easy to go either north or South in the middle of Devon

The room was clean, warm, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful and polite, although we couldn’t find anyone at the bar when we wanted to check in and we couldn’t find a bell. It is an old building and the stairs to our room were quite steep and narrow and quite a lot of them. They allowed us to park in the car park for the two days, although we were only staying the one night.

Nice accommodation, staff were pleasant, room was clean and comfortable, lovely shower, very warm room. We checked out at 9.30 but couldn’t find anyone to check out with then noticed a small sign to leave the keys on the table. Only downside was breakfast was 7am -8.30am which was fair to early for us but thrte are other places in town to eat. Over all great stay and free parking was a bonus.

Fabulous hotel with great staff. Part of a golfing group who normally stay at the White Hart but this hotel trumps the other so if you are going to spend your money, go here instead. Great facilities albeit they don’t have many rooms. They also have off road parking unlike the other hotel mentioned

Tired decor, fixtures and fittings. Very slow food service. Expensive room.

The Fountain is much improved with a whole new make over. Staff very friendly and our bedroom was very clean and comfortable to sleep in. Lovely new bathroom suite with a decent shower. Breakfast included and was delicious.
