Have stayed a number of times over about 10 years or so - is consistently good.
Staff are always friendly and helpful, food is excellent and very good local beer is available.
The rooms are small but do what is needed and have always been clean.
This is a proper traditional country pub and we need more of them!

The room was clean and comfortable, not at all noisy. We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious and very reasonably priced. The team at the Four Horseshoes were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very good too, large portions and a big pot of tea. We had a really relaxing break.

What an excellent country pub. We have a lovely steak meal and used the garden to sit outside and have a drink before retiring to our room. The staff were welcoming, attentive and friendly.Breakfast was well cooked and very enjoyable.
Our room was lovely and clean but the toilet flush didn’t work as well as it should.
Overall we had lovely meals and a great stay made better by the welcoming friendly and attentive staff

The food was outstanding, tasty, well presented and good proportions. The experience over was lovely. I found the roof height rather low and banged my head more than enough times on the low roof beams. There are signs all over saying watch your head, but when looking down to mis the beams and another even lower one comes up, well I must say, I had a head banging time :)

A very enjoyable stay at The Four Horseshoes. Set in the quiet countryside.
Our room was clean and had all the facilities we needed.
Tom the landlord runs the place like a well oiled machine. Bravo sir!
The staff were very hardworking and friendly. Cathy, Tracy and Grace looked after us and we had a particularly good banter relationship with Tracy.
The food was excellent and the beer garden was a relaxing haven for us.
We highly recommend this pub.

We booked late, turned up to a warm welcome, we were shown to our rooms, which were clean and comfortable, we loved the age and atmosphere.

Belated review for our 2 night stay in August. Room was Ok but breakfast and evening meal were excellent. Lady who served us breakfast was very nice and helpful.
