Just a one nights stay at the Kicking Dicky before a flight out of Stansted, which was chosen for it's ideal location and at a better value than the generic hotels.
No issues with the room which is external to the pub, so was nice and quiet. The food was decent with a good selection a beers. Overall a nice find and would be happy to stay again.

I was able to check in online before I arrived at The Kicking Dickey. The staff were very helpful and friendly along with the pub which I thought was very welcoming. My room was at the rear of the property so away from any noise. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, I think it might of been a converted stable. Nice functional bathroom with a shower and a very comfortable single bed. Lots of free parking outside the property. All in all well worth a stay.

I have stayed here 3 times. Lovely well equipped rooms. Plenty of tea and coffee. Very near the rest of the village for last minute shopping. Very convenient for the airport. Free parking on site. Excellent price.

Nice staff who were quick to show us to our room was great.
Room was clean, well equipped with drinks. The bedding & towels were fresh. Water was hot for a shower so well appreciated. Lots of toiletries included which was a nice touch.
Downside was the shower cubicle which had seen better days with both black & rust on it. The TV didn't work - it switched on but it couldn't find a digital aeriel - no big problem for one night's stay.
