Great location and nice room

Lovely wee hotel. Excellent facilities

Hotel was lovely and even though we were warned and expected noise on a Sat night in December, we didn’t expect to be quite as loud as it was! We were directly above the Xmas disco room and the windows in our room were actually vibrating. On the up side they did finish promptly at midnight. Just be aware it’s not just background noise but very loud. Need more staff on at breakfast time to keep tables cleared and food stocked up.

Traditional hotel with quality service good parking and convient location

Easy and efficient check in. Very comfortable and well stocked bedroom and bathroom. Plenty of choice on the menu's and always well presented with good sized portions and excellent quality.

Lovely hotel, we were at a family party nearby. The hotel bar area is excellent and well priced. All of the staff from check in to bar and breakfast servers were excellent. The continental breakfast is a great start to the day, the full English breakfast also looked great. This was our second stay and we will be back.

Old hotel which has had some renovation or upgrade but beds soft and creaky. Basic toiletries and facilities. Biggest issue is that it is unsafe - steps all over with a heavily patterned carpet and poor warning. Wife ended up min A&E after fall with chipped bones in foot and ankle plus black eye and gash on lip.

Hotel staff helpful and friendly. Room Was spacious, clean and comfortable. Food was excellent

I had a good stay, staff were very helpful, friendly and polite, a very positive experience.

Heavily stained bed linen. Very noisy activity throughout the night. I informed the receptionist about the bed linen. No compensation was offered. And as I was in a hurry I didn’t continue the conversation.

Food quality and presentation was very good and in excess of our expectation in this kind of hotel.

Stay were perfunctory in their manner but not friendly.

This was our second trip to the lion at Belpur, and though we couldn’t have the bigger room this time, the room we had was still adequate for what we wanted. Always good friendly staff, who are more than willing to help. The pub is located in a good area, close to shops and high street, and the mills and gardens. Fantastic time which is why we returned.

Stayed here several times now. Staff have always been super friendly and the rooms are good despite being a little dated. The bar is very friendly, food is good and the hotel is conveniently located for the town centre and railway station. Highly recommended.

The car park was nearly full when we arrived and cars parked very badly, and seemed to be used by non guests. Staff were friendly and the good in the bar was good. Unfortunately in the court yard they opened up the covered area and all the wasps came in affecting those dining. The evening was awful. Avoid room 19 is they have a party on. The speakers sounded like they were on the wall next to the room and were blaring and too loud until midnight. We were told there was a warning about this on the booking but we had nothing from Hotels.com. Staff made no effort to appease us. They should not be booking people in to the rooms right by the sound system. It was a hot night but we could not have the windows open due to all the smokers, and some with unpleasant smoke smells coming up from the area under the room window. Again avoid room 19.

A nice small hotel . It suited us for an overnight stay. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. All good.
