The Mill - Long Melford

Excellent breakfast options and cooked fresh to order with local ingredients. The room was awesome and riomy!! Loved the slipper bath and private garden (Garden Room).

Great host and a very pleasant room. We had the room with the private garden, which would be super, if it had been a tad warmer. The restaurant recommendation (which came through after booking)was very helpful, along with other useful info on the local area.

Beautiful decor throughout, very well presented & the stunning bath centrepiece topped the room off. Only slight criticism being the towels, which were hard & scratchy. The host Paul was extremely friendly & helpful, he also makes a top class full english breakfast! Great base for exploring this lovely part of Suffolk 😊

You really couldn’t ask for more. Fabulous accommodation spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Being a hungry horse I have to say the breakfast was to die for! Thank you so much to Paul and Claire.

Lovely property. Welcomed upon arrival and everything was better than expected. Immaculately clean, first class facilities and personable friendly host. The bathroom was particularly impressive; spotless and superbly furnished. Super breakfast. Excellent stay and would highly recommend

Highly recommend this above all others if staying in Long Melford. The two superb rooms are five star. We had a wonderful stay and a great breakfast.

Lovely location, room and service. Breakfast choices were very good and beautifully cooked…….. scrambled eggs just how I like them! The most important positive was how warm the room was considering it was almost freezing outside. It was a pity the advertised log burner didn’t have any logs for us to use as this would have been a lovely touch as well.

Beautiful luxurious B&B. Really loved our nights stay there. Every detail had been thought of and the accommodation was beautiful, luxurious and comfortable. Even a wood burner and private garden. I’d love to go back in Spring/Summer to use bikes available and to visit the two NT properties within walking distance.

Paul was an excellent host and he made a lovely freshly cooked breakfast. The rooms are every bit as good as advertised. There are places of interest in easy walking distance and just short drives away. Several good places to get and evening meal again all within easy walking distance.

Superbly fitted out guest room with an extraordinary bath. The best breakfasts we have experienced in Uk. Paul is a a most genial host, who provided excellent visit suggestions.

We had a lovely stay here and will definitely love to come back. We were in the Garden Room - it felt luxurious - the bath was perfect and all the facilities couldn't be faulted. Paul was an impeccable host.

Stayed at Mill for two nights over bank holiday weekend. Everything about stay excellent. Room lovely clean superbly decorated and comfortable. Also beautiful private garden which we took advantage of on Sunday. Breakfast was freshly cooked and of course excellent!! Despite all of above what made our stay exceptional was the warm welcome and attention from hosts. Not difficult to see why so highly rated. Would definitely recommend highly. Also very pretty area to visit.

We had a lovely one night stay at The Mill. It was a lovely place to stay and a perfect location for exploring the pretty surroundings. The room was extremely comfortable and characterful. And the home cooked breakfast very generous and delicious. It was a nice extra to be able to easily adjust the temperature of the room to our liking. On this occasion we were just in Long Melford for one night for an anniversary meal at the restaurant Scutchers; it was a shame we weren't able to stay a bit longer!

Our visit started with a very warm welcome from Paul. The room was comfortable and clean and tastefully decorated to a very high spec. Really nice range of teas coffees and fresh milk. I was happy to see the eco friendly use of refillable local toiletries. Breakfast was lovely... Particularly enjoyed the scrambled eggs and local pastries. The fact that the rooms are separate from the house meant that we could come and go without bothering anyone else. Paul shared loads of useful information about recommendations for places to eat and visit.
