From start at reception ,we had food which was very good ,a nice pint of guinness and the room we stayed in was cosy clean and comforting,i could not of asked for more.

Quick check-in. Friendly welcome. Clean and comfortable room with good choice of beverages and lovely homemade biscuits. Bathroom with The White Company products and good shower. Breakfast selection was sufficient and full English was tasty.

Really welcoming. Weird noise when you flush the toilet. Needs addressing and there is a lot of pink and black mould in the bathroom. The sink taps don’t have hot and cold on as the caps have been removed. Comfy bed. No shaving mirror in the room. Great staff, quiet location. Outstanding vegetarian breakfast options.

My meal on Sunday evening was the best I’ve ever had, and the service by Rula wonderful and friendly.. room was delightful and breakfast delicious hot and perfectly served. Excellent choice the only problem was when paying generally with Hotels.com I pay before I leave home and can use my Keycash points but as Mellor took funds on leaving the deputy manager didn’t know how to use my credit which would have covered my meal. She tried to phone but apparently couldn’t get through. I will be taking this up with you in my return.

Comfortable place to stay with pleasant decor, a nice bathroom and fluffy pillow. Housekeeping could have been better but overall I would return.
The food in the restaurant was good although the service was fairly poor.

Excellent comfy rooms and the beds and pillows nice, modern rooms, had room 33 last night, fixed the broken extractor fan, and all good in that room, got room 44 tonight, same top quality, only issue drainage on shower tray nearly over flowed, so needs looking at, but still 10/10 .
Food is amazing here, service and staff Great, really stress free, all bills settled and receipts done there and then, so no messing around getting receipts before checkout in the morning.
The chef here is top draw, every meal and starter I’ve had is awesome, and I’ve been on the road 33 years, and I don’t say that very often.

The shower pressure was far too weak, and the toilet cistern was very noisy on filling up, which let the room down though.

Was disappointed as paid £300 for a two night stay. Got a room ground floor even though asked for high floor. Very noisy as rooms above very noisy and road noise.
Room:, blind missing from windows. Toilet cistern broken so just kept filling up for ages. Reported it on arrival but not fixed.
Breakfast: waitress forgot to take our order(and others). Asked for more coffee, arrived but no refilled milk jug. Cold buffet limited selection.
