Really nice. Lovely quirky room, great location, staff were great, nice bar downstairs, couldn’t fault it. Steep steps up to my room which I was Ok with but if you have mobility issues you should mention. But I’d 100% recommend this place.

The staff were really welcoming and friendly, the parking was ample and the room was super clean and comfortable. I would definitely return.

Clean, comfortable room. Lovely, helpful staff and easy to check in and out. Great location for town too.
Our only gripe was that the weather was warm and our upstairs room was uncomfortably hot, even with the fan provided. There was an air con unit in the room, but it needed an ice pack, so it didnt make any difference to us.
Otherwise, lovely hotel and would definitely stay again.

Overall the hotel was ok. The bed was hard and a four poster, which wasn’t very tall, so I had quite a few head bumps. We stayed during the cold snap and the room didn’t have great heating, however reception did provide an additional electric radiator which worked perfectly.
Overall staff were great, parking was easy, it is dog friendly but not all rooms are from what I could gather so you should check in advance if it’s ok.
The restaurant was decent, we had a good meal and my wife really enjoyed the vegetarian breakfast in th morning.

Having eaten at Christopher's (excellent), I thought it only reasonable to expect the same high standards in the adjoining hotel - sadly not. The lady who checked me in was friendly and thorough but the accomodation felt tired and in need of some TLC in terms of decor and ambience. Lovely bed and bedding but poor quality / old towels and shower mat (all were frayed). No rubber mat available which meant the shower floor was very slippy however the toiletries were nice. It was a very hot couple of days and the fans were much appreciated but it was necessary to open the windows to get a flow of air - not easily done and it was then incredibly noisy due to the traffic (not the hotel's fault). I would have shared these comments on checking out but I was not asked how my stay was...

Stayed for one night whilst working in the area. All the hotel staff were very pleasant ,friendly and welcoming. The room was a reasonable size with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom along with good WIFI connection. The food in the bar / restaurant was very nice and reasonably priced. The cooked to order breakfast was very nice too.

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Room 18 was incredibly hot & I was kept awake by a generator or some such noise outside my room even with the windows closed. I preferred the courtyard room I stayed in last time & will ask for this in future.

Room a little tired, could do with an update. Bed mattress rock solid and pillows very heavy/uncomfortable. AC unit in room but no cold air, by morning it was blowing got air even though it was default setting (couldn't change it) was 3 degrees.
