The Silk Rooms at Freemasons Inn

Firstly room was really nice, very clean and a good size. Little few gripes, the access to the room is electronic meaning electric key pad entry, but this wouldn’t let us in at 2.30pm like a hotel would have with the room being ready. What’s the harm ? Secondly a couple of bottles of water, would be nice, none in the room. Also awaken early as seems to be on Manchester Airport flight path. But don’t want to be too negative as rooms lovely and in a great location. Pub below has great beer garden as well. Would definitely use again when in Knutsford.

Nice room, clean and spacious. No dining facilities or staff or anything like that.

Room was really nice, super convenient location and easy instructions to access. There was building work going on outside in the morning so very noisy and the room is quite hot so nice to have the windows open. Room was very nicely decorated and had all the necessities.

Very large comfortable bed and good quality bed linen. We had seen previous reviews about the dark paintwork but didn’t think it was going to be as dark as it was, like sleeping in a cave. Perfect for a bat or Goth. Great central location, paid car park very near. Well heated. Bit worried that there is no-one to contact if anything is wrong but fortunately didn’t need to.

The accommodation was in a great location to explore Knutsford and the surrounding area. The accommodation looks to have been recently renovated but our room was very darkly painted and not too our taste, it was a little depressing and we were glad we were only there for 1 night. Overall we thought it was expensive for what you got.

Lovely modern rooms with all amenities although couldn't find an iron. Huge bathroom and comfy bed. Check was a tad late for me being 3pm,especially as there is nowhere to leave bags.

We liked the location, central for the shops. We liked the door lock, no key which was great. Didn't like the decor it was too dark..... the wall lights didn't give off any light to see by and the spot lights were too bright if you wanted a cosy moody atmosphere.

Stayed at the silk rooms on our first visit to knutsford. We were in the area as were attending a friends wedding. We would have loved to have visit the restaurant beneath the rooms, however aware that this was under refurbishment. Room was amazing! Clean, comfortable and spacious. Thank you so much.

First time I’ve stayed here and room was lovely with a cosy feel. Bathroom was modern and spacious. There were tea and coffee facilities but suprisingly no bottled water. A slight noise distraction being close to the town centre with refuse lorries heard about 6am. You can also hear the planes taking off from the nearby Manchester airport.

Room really clean and well presented. Bedroom really small but manageable for 1 night, superking bed great.

This is a great place to stay. Sadly the people above me were extremely noisy throughout the night. I’m sure they enjoyed themselves judging by the noises they were making. 😂

It was just ok

Stayed before and all good but this time no towels in room and no way of contacting anyone to get some.

Decent place to stay

A nice stay but could have been excellent with a bit more attention to detail. Could have done with a vacuum. Shower gel hasn’t been replenished and pillows weren’t great (not much to them). Great location for bars, restaurants and shops. Easy online check in with key codes entry (can’t generally get in early as it’s unmanned and doors don’t release until 3pm) - guy cleaning did let us in at 2:30pm though which was kind and appreciated. Parking is a pain (not owners fault) car park next door is payable at only 70p an hour which would be great BUT you can only park for 4 hours which obviously doesn’t work if you’re saying over. We ended up parking in Hillside Road - just on side of the road (no yellow lines and free). It’s only a 5 minute walk so was fine for us.
