The Swan Inn

Staff were lovely- room was comfortable and had superb linen and towels Sadly the kitchen was closed so no dinner or breakfast Not much else in the town as an alternative

We had a nice one night stay. A good spot in the town for a short break.

Easy parking, car park around the back of property. Clean bed linen and white fluffy towels. Tv and tea/coffee. As they no longer do food a few biscuits on the tray would be nice!!

I really enjoyed my stay at The Swan Inn. The manager was particularly helpful regarding my late arrival. Bed very comfortable.

Lovely overnight stay - shame there was food available x

We arrived at 1.30pm and asked for lunch but were told they didn't have a chef at the moment. We ate at another pub in the village where we were told that the place we were staying in hadn't had a chef for months! We had booked to attend a gig that night nearby so had no option but to stay there. No chef however, also meant no breakfast and so we left at 9.00am. No apologies given, and when we questioned the chalkboard in the bar offering food, we were told they 'hadnt had time to alter it'. Although the beds were comfy, and the shower pretty good, the windows were filthy, and the bathrom one had a broken catch so it couldn't be closed. Should have advised about the lack of food as it spoilt our stay really, as I booked months in advance

Good position in Center of village has its own spacious car park. Very friendly. It’s an old pub in an old property it’s got character. Lighting in bedroom was poor, but beds very comfortable and room clean.

Lovely hotel warm an welcoming nice food . Warm environment will stay again another time . Family problem had to cut stay short.

Gorgeous night in a super comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Great to have a dog friendly room (though warning only the double room - number 5 - is dog friendly). Deep bath with great hot water (I love to bathe!)

Situated right in middle of Sturminster with parking round the back so no parking fees. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very clean with comfortable beds. Bathroom was clean but needed a bit of attention to mould in grouting around shower area. Lovely soft large towels

Is was very noisy

Toilet seat was not fastened properly and although I reported it it was not fixed It was dangerous

I booked a night there about 2 months ahead of time as I’m on a trip o England from Canada and I got there to my surprise the place was closed, I can’t get ahold of the anyone from the Inn, I would like a refund.

Two days before arrival we were emailed to say there would be a loud disco below our room until 11.45pm. They offered cancellation but it was far too late to change our visit and rearrange, so we put up with it. The room was ok but wasnt cleaned on the 2nd day. No Breakfast available both days. Pub was loud and noisy, would suit some but not us. Had Friday evening meal in restaurant 1st Friday of December - we were the only two people in the restaurant! Food and service fine, but room "tired".

Our regular return to the Swan was very enjoyable. The room was clean and tidy. As always the welcome was warm and the service very good. A lovely old building but with modern and appropriate facilities. It was reasonable value for money. Looking forward to our next visit already!

Fantastic place to stay great atmosphere within the pud really friendly local people the room was nice and warm which is important to me at this time of year after being outside working all day Geoff and his wife are great friendly people food was also fantastic it was a pleasure to stay with them and will be back soon probably the best hotel I have stayed at in recent times ..and I stay in a lot of hotels

Having booked the Swan in order to meet up with a friend, it was a bit of a surprise to find out that a live band was going to be playing- directly under our bedroom. In an even more surreal twist, the pub was taken over on Saturday night by all sorts of witches, ghouls, vampires, zombies and skeletons. The only thing to do was to embrace the madness and join in! The band was surprisingly good (80s rock) and we loved the whole community atmosphere. Awesome- thank you for a memorable stay!

Wonderfully peaceful two nights spent at this Historic building.

Staff and service here were amazing. Communication with customers were great too. We were heading in late one night past their closing time, they called me up beforehand to inform me of the fact, and told me how to get ahold of them when I arrived and where to park. Room was clean and spacious as well as providing good food.
