Villare Hitchin Town Centre

I believe it was a 4 poster junior sweet which was EXCEPTIONAL AND SPACIOUS. Lovely big bath so my parter was happy.We booked last minute sparebut had a reservation of a normal double the following day. I asked to have the same room and was kindly accommodated with no extra charges which was extremely nice

It was a last min booking and the junior double bridal suite was extremely nice and spacious with a huge bath so my partner was happy! Very big and had a fridge too. I did ask if we could possibly stay in the same room as we had a booking for the following day. We did stay in the same room the next day which was very nice without any extra charges. Overall happy with a fantastic sleep in the king bed.

Hotel check-in is in a burrito food restaurant. Room shower flooded. Bed sheets dirty stains. Towels dirty stains. Ive stayed in better hostels.

Great location, exceptional customer service from carol and the other lady, very friendly as always. poster bed lovely spacious room and free parking. Overall satisfied.

Cheap and cheerful but useful town centre location and easy free parking. A bit dated, and front door wasn’t secure but otherwise no complaints. Did what I needed for a quick overnight.

Very central in Hitchin so you next to everything which is very convenient, with parking, but it limited especially if you have a large vehicle.

Lovely Lady. It was clean. Please provide coffee as an alternative to tea. The pillows was the downfall sadly. Apart from that will deffo come again in the future. It was Just the pillows

The staff are very friendly everytime i go her with my partner. I did want a specific room but it was already occupied but the guy upgraded us to a four poster bed which was considerably nice of him and lovely gesture. The only TERRIBLY NEGATIVE thing i have to say is checkout is at 11am and there is a lady that goes around knocking on the doors profusely with a bad attitude between 30 mins before checkout reminding you how many mins youve got untill you have to leave the PREMISES! I can totally understand somebody having a " bad day " but in all 100% HONESTY AND TRANSPARENCY , it's happened to us everytime we have stayed there !!! I stayed on new years eve and im still tremendously baffled and shell-shocked even now writing this. My partner left for work early that morning and i was half NAKED and the woke up to the lady in my room stating i have 10 minutes to leave. Wow wow and wowww. I stay at a lot of hotels but i have never been spoken to in that manner. She will definitely DRIVE PAYING CUSTOMERS TO NOT WANT TO COME BACK !

The rooms are out of date and the beds have BUGS on your website there is free parking with no restrictions when we got there couldnt park the van alroind not a good stay

Poor Breakfast Choice, Cold Room, Inadequate Heating, Difficult To Find Staff For Help

VERY unusual check in. You have to go to the restaurant on high street. We thought it was called bella vita 🤔 but it's actually a taco restaurant. You go in there, then have no idea where to go as no signs inside the shop? It was only as another couple were stood there looking very confused too, a lady working behind the food counter came over and took us all behind some weird saloon doors into the back room! ...it felt like you were in some sort of escape room as boxes etc everywhere? She asked me to pay which I then replied I have already...months ago. She said oh yeah...it just made me think I wonder how many people have paid again by accident. I had to ask her about breakfast to which she replied. There won't be any as we are so booked up 🤔 so I said well we were expecting it as when I paid it was included in the cost. She told me to text her my bank details and they will refund me some money for the 2 breakfasts... 2 months later ....still no refund for 2 breakfasts

The check in staff ladies were great and very helpful.

From the beginning just trying to sign in on this trip was turning into a nightmare, NO payment had been received from Hotels.Com for our overnight stay so I have to say that wasn’t all Hotel Vallare fault, but they insisted that if were too stay that night I would have to pay again, even though I insisted that I had booked and paid for this via Hotels.com web site, we were on the booking in system (a piece of A4 paper) but no mention of any payment, so another payment of £82.82 was made on my debit card reluctantly, moving forward 48hrs it’s now Hotel Vallare’s to put it right after the mistake has made, sorry for our mistake we need to refund you, asking for the card details that I used to pay the extra payment (bear in mind they already had this) BUT stating the last four numbers of the card that I used totally incorrect from the one actually used, but would not listen to the fact that this was incorrect and insisted that he was, at the same time I was talking to Hotels.com good old AI robot what a complete waste of space that is after 45 minutes it says I’m sorry I can’t help with your enquiry. I will have to send it to the back office team, they didn’t do much better two days later, they told me I’d cancelled the room and that they couldn’t help me. So my next step was on the advice of my Bank was to do a charge back as I was getting no corporation from either this is what I did, And then all of a sudden, out of the blue hotel, Valerie found the right card and refunded.

Excellent location, very helpful staff

Booking in was terrible having to wait for people to be served in the burrito bar. Overflowing rubbish skip outside window, broken glass littering the parking area.

Friendly hotel convenient in the heart of hitchin

Shabby dirty needs a massive update and was only worth £50.00 at the most , disgusting don't book there and breakfast an extra £16.00
