Westgate Hotel

Room was small and a bit worn. The accommodation and service was basic.

Very friendly staff - perfect for a short stay in Oxford.

You should not stay here while the Botley road work is going on. The room vibrated and it was impossible to sleep.

Mir wurde mitgeteilt, daß der Bahnhof umgebaut wird. Vorort war das Hotel mitten in der Baustelle. Fenster konnten geöffnet werden, aber aufgrund der Baustelle war kein lüften möglich. Baustellenlärm rund um die Uhr. Und trotzdem den vollen Preis verlangen. Meine Buchung enthielt inklusive Frühstück... Vorort wurde für einige Zutaten extra Geld verlangt. Als ich ankam wurde ich begrüßt und dann war niemand da zum einchecken. Man ließ mich bei der Rezeption einfach stehen... Das ganze Haus ist sehr kalt, aber heizen war nicht möglich. In der Rezeption war um 17 Uhr niemand da um zu fragen. Leider kann ich nichts positives berichten

Fabulous staff, clean rooms, great atmosphere and location to central Oxford.

Booking in is not the time to find out that the breakfast you paid for is only cereal and fruit - anything else is additional. Then find out that the room is overlooking a building site with 24 hour working. First night ok as constant rain, but second night spent awake listening to diggers reversing. Tiny room, hot with no way to ventilate. I could go on. Will be complaining

Had a great couple of nights here. The location is perfect for the train station and getting into Oxford for looking around and shopping. But the highlight is the staff, who are friendly and extremely helpful. Thanks for making a great stay even better!

駅周辺の工事がうるさかった、という、ホテルに関係のない部分での問題はありましたが、スタッフは親切だし、利便性はいいし、快適でした。

Cheguei sozinha em Oxford às 19h da noite e na descrição fala que o hotel é próximo da estação, no entanto está em obra e não passa carro. Como estava com malas, tive que pegar o Uber e deu em torno de 20min pra chegar ao Hotel. Ao chegar ao Hotel, me deram a chave do local que eu ia ficar, que era anexo à recepção, e se quer me ofereceram ajuda com as malas. Tive que me virar para achar a casa, andando com as 3 malas, de noite, e ao chegar, o quarto era no segundo andar, com escadas super apertadas e a porta difícil de abrir, tinha que dar um tranco. O quarto é pequeno, sem aquecedor/ar-condicionado, com poucas tomadas. O chuveiro praticamente não sai água, pra mulheres lavarem o cabelo é realmente complicado. O café da manhã vai somente até as 09h em dia de semana e até 09:30 nos finais de semana, o que considero muio cedo, já que em outros hotéis vai pelo menos até as 10:30/11h. No meu caso, a aula começava somente às 10:30, mas eu tinha que levantar bem mais cedo pra não perder o café da manhã do hotel. O ponto positivo é que fica próximo a Saïd Bussines Schol andando, sendo uns 5 minutos de distância, mas fica longe do centro, sendo uns 15/20 minutos andando. Não acho que valha o preço, pois tem hotéis melhores pelo mesmo preço.

Small room with tiny tv. Very basic but fine for couple nights. Excellent location right by station and city centre - very nice staff!

£130 for a tip of a room 4m x 4m. This is a 1980s £15 per night Blackpool B&B at best. Barely space to walk around the bed, There are roadworks outside the hotel (Months ongoing) so a diesel generator ran all night outside the bedroom window - but the owner did give us earplugs when we checked in,and a 6ft x 3ft piece of insulation was resting against the stained net curtains. Carpets stained and threadbare, "Buffet breakfast" was cereal and toast. I stay in hotels 2/3 nights every week for work and for £100-£130 you can get you nice hotels with a pool and a brakfast not in a packet. This is an absolute sh1theap you should avoid like the plague. Whoever gave this place 10/10 outstanding reviews (or anything above 2/10) are obviously blood relatives of the owners or the owners.....................

急な強風の日々が続くなか　薄手の毛布一枚で寒さに耐えていました 最終日にやつと暖房のやり方を教わった イギリスの人にはあの寒さは普通なんだろうか暖房の件もこっちから聞いたから教えてくれたが心使いというのは無縁なのかなと。あと私の英語を茶化すかの様な素ぶりを見せたのは人によっては怒り心頭物だと思う 英語が喋れ当然と思っているふしもある

The owner said he tried to tell us about the construction by the railroad and asked that guests get the information before they arrive. He was wonderful and our stay was too but it would have helped to know how to get there. We were very confused.

Steve was extremely helpful and personable. We felt welcomed and safe at Westgate. Breakfast was very good! A great place to stay close to the train station and York centre. A great stay!

Es war beim Frühstück Kleinigkeiten wie Jogurt, Muffins, Kaffee und Tee im Preis inbegriffen, für mehr musste man bezahlen, Parkplatz musste man 12,50 Pfund extra bezahlen Personal OK Zimmer sehr abgewohnt, Bad naja, Zimmer durch sehr schmale Stiegen hinauf erreichbar, in den Zimmern zieht es zur Zeit ziemlich laut da eine Baustelle direkt davor ist, Lage war ok, nicht weit ins Zentrum Für den Preis mehr erwartet
