Hotel La Bastide Saint Martin

¡Fantástico! Alejado del centro, pero a solo siete minutos en coche de Carcassonne. Muy acogedor, limpio y tranquilo. Muy buen desayuno y propietarios muy hospitalarios.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable with beautiful views. The breakfast was charged extra and there was plenty of cereal, bread, cheese, meats, fruits and yoghurts etc. It is over 4 km from Carcassone and buses are infrequent but there is plenty of parking if you take a car. We had a fabulous stay.

Check in was very welcoming & parking was easy. Unfortunately when we returned late in the evening & the reception was closed, we found that the aircon didn’t work at all in the room & it was uncomfortably warm overnight resulting in a bad sleep. We mentioned this on check out to the members of staff but they didn’t seem at all concerned, which sadly tainted our stay. That was a shame as everything else was good, but we wouldn’t stay here again as aircon was definitely needed & we wouldn’t want to risk being in the same position again.

We loved staying at the hotel, the staff were all very friendly, the rooms were comfortable (Although the air conditioning could have been a bit better). Everywhere was spotless and constantly being tidied up. The cost of food, snacks and drinks was resonable but we found the breakfast a bit expensive as we don't eat much in the morning and there was no options to get a smaller, cheaper, breakfast. The surrounding grounds are very nice and well looked after. The atmosphere was very calm and quiet throughout the day and night with all guests being very respectful. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing break near Carcassone.

Tout est fait pour que vous passiez un excellent sejour. L'établissement est très propre, le petit dejeuner très complet et piscine impecable. Les chambres sont bien insonorisées. Vous y serrez tres bien accueilli.

Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings

Hôtel à taille humaine extrêmement bien entretenu dans un environnement calme et apaisant. Excellent sejour! Tout etait parfait, de la chambre au petit dejeuner copieux en passant par la superbe piscine.

Hôtel très calme et reposant. Cadre magnifique. Personnel au petit soin et propreté de l’établissement irréprochable. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir

Worst problem is no A/C in a heat wave, partly compensated by a great pool.

Lovely clean hotel on the outskirts, but we barely slept at all. The weather turned HOT in late May, and our room was too stuffy. We had AC turned on, then learned (despite hotels.com listing) there WAS NO AC because staff don’t turn it on till summer. AC put only hot air into our room. Wish they’d made that clear at booking bc we would’ve chosen a different hotel. At least tell people checking in when there is no AC. I booked this late in our trip simply because it had AC, and we had been hot at another hotel with no AC. When we opened the doors to the outside, clouds of bugs/spiders/mosquitoes flew in. We tried closing wooden doors, but that held in the heat, then we rigged the sheer curtains to keep bugs out. It was still SO hot in our room that we were unable to sleep. Two nights of misery. Staff later said the other side of the hotel is cooler. Wish they’d told us NO AC! we would’ve asked for a room on that side. Or a refund! Not as advertised. The hotel isa sometimes difficult 15-min drive to old town through very congested residential areas. GPS can be confusing. We thought the hotel was closer to old town when we booked. Nothing is in walking distance from here at all, and security seems to be an issue in this area. Gated in front but the back is open to the forest. The pool is pretty - but far too cold for swimming, in May. They charged us even for lobby coffee, and charge guests for pool towels, too. Maybe ok for a family in summer. Otherwise, not.

Splendid hotel, friendly staff, quiet location. Clean and comfortable.

It was a very calm and beautiful hotel, but its hygiene was awful. During my stay, there were hundreds and thousands of small red spiders in the room. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Très bon rapport qualité prix. Les hôteliers sont aimable et sympathique. L’hôtel est magnifique avec un beau et grand jardin très bien entretenu ainsi qu’une belle piscine. Les chambres sont propres, spacieuses et bien décorées. Je vous conseille cet hôtel, vous ne serez pas déçu.
