Reception staff are very nice, kind, kmowledgeable, informative, quick to respond and respectful. We arrive too early and they accomodated us even it is not time to check in when they saw us too tired from our trip. Room is very clean and sorroundings although it is outdated, everything you need is there esp it is close to everything like metro, restaurants, banks, groceries & more. Overall excellent and saved some money. Excellent for the price.

I had a great stay here overall! The room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice carpet, mirror, and bed. The tables were handy, though I do wish there had been a few drawers for storage. The shower is on the smaller side, so it may be a little tight for bigger-sized guests, but it worked fine for me. The closet hook was also a bit too high, though the shelves made up for it. The staff were very nice and welcoming. I didn’t need much assistance during my stay, but they let me know I could always ask if I did. Overall, a really pleasant stay with just a couple of small observations.

Die Unterkunft war dem Preis angemessen. Kein 4Sterne Best Western Hotel, aber mit allem ausgestattet, was man so braucht. Dazu freundliches zuvorkommendes Personal, welches sehr gut english konnte. Alles in allem sehr zufriedenstellend.

As soon as I entered the room I could smell a faint musky odor like wet smoke, the carpet was horribly stained, the closet door knob came off in my hand, the toilet lid was loose and kept sliding around, the room needed painting as the paint was faded, the bathroom sink faucet was loose and flopped around when you tried to use it and the shower was tiny and leaked all over the floor when you took a shower. I complained to the check -in person and told me the carpets were clean just discolored and I should buy a throw rug from a market up the street to cover it up. I aked for another room and he told me they didnt have any and the room was still usable. Being exhausted from the long flight I stayed that night and the next day I made a reservation for another place and left the day after. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at!

"The first two days, the room they gave us wasn’t good, and we couldn't sleep a moment at night because of the noise outside. The room condition wasn’t good, especially the bathroom, which needed repairs, and the hair dryer was out of order. However, after two days, they changed our room upon my insistence. One of the reception staff, though, was a bit rude, saying, 'With the money you paid, we don’t have a better room for you,' even though there were several empty rooms on the quieter side of the hotel within our budget. After the room change, we had a pleasant stay. The only odd thing was that, even on the first day, there was no bottle of water or adequate soap and shampoo. We received two very small bottles of shampoo and a coin-sized bar of soap, and we had to go shopping that night.

The Semeli was what we needed since it had a 24 hour desk. The staff was very good at answering questions and helping with transportation. The hotel is much nicer than the street it is on which is cluttered with dysfunctional scooters. Despite the appearance, there is a police station across the street so it is safe. The room was nice and you have maid service every day. The only disappointment at the Semeli was that the mattress was uncomfortable.
