Is it the hotel policy to give a lone traveler the worst room available on the first pick? I arrived quite exhausted, checking in at 1am, they gave me third floor room (no elevator), the most corner room. I asked whether better located room available (2nd floor), they told me none available. Entered the room, air conditioner not working, had to travel all the way back to the reception informing this (no line whatsoever in the room. They replaced with 2nd floor most corner room. Upon 15mins after moving, found out hot water not working, and the shower is even worst. they said need to wait for 5mins for the hot water to work, which wasn't the case. i was so tired, so taking a cold shower instead, asking for a room change the day after. The day after they give me a more decent room at 2nd floor, all working properly. I paid quite a high price, Rp.417,000 per night. I know this because not more than 2 months before I booked for my Japanese friend for 350.000 a night and they got that very nice room on 1st floor. What puzzled me is that on they day I arrived, (already got my booking)I got a price drop notification that the price dropped to 212.000/night. And even when I extend my stay a day more, they gave me 400.000 rate. The good thing of this hotel is that the employee all welcoming and polite, hindering me from giving all bad ratings. That's about all I guess.
