What a lovely hotel with a ton of character! Located at the end of the 'beach strip', it was nice and quiet, with an amazing view of the town, the beach and the coastline. Our room was comfortable, and our view from the balcony was 10 out of 10. There was a mini-fridge in the room stocked with water, but for some reason, guests are not allowed to store their own food or drinks inside (penalty is 5 euros/day) - we found this strange? The staff were super friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was really good - and the eating area had floor to ceiling windows with views of the beach. The pool was nice, warm and clean. Great location, just a 10-minute walk to shopping and restaurants. On Monday morning, there is an open market in the city center that was a lot of fun to visit! Staying at Scalea was definitely one of the highlights of our Italy trip - it was beautiful, quiet, and resort-like. We really enjoyed staying at the Grand Hotel De Rose and hope to stay there again.

The location and beach access was fantastic. Room was clean but this hotel is in need of an update. Furniture and linens look well used. They also have an ant problem. Even though we didn’t have food in the room, we found quite a few ants.

We had an amazing stay! Checked in a little late in the afternoon and pool was closing, but they made an exception and allowed up to enjoy the pool. Drinks on the pool deck were amazing! The beach club was fabulous and food was great! We were treated like royalty! Truly impressed and will definitely visit again! Scalea has beautiful beaches and now one of our favorite spots!

Hotellet ligger utrolig fint til. Litt vanskeligheter med at Google sier du skal kjøre kjempe omvei for å komme dit. Men hotellet er greit. Rommeene er gamle, trenger en real makower. Aircon funket ikke om du ikke henger nøkkel til rommet der som betyr at det blir glovarmt når du ikke er der. Ellers er betjening fantastisk. God beliggenhet, flott strand området, men servicen er der beste jeg har opplevd på lenge

Hotellet ligger utrolig fint til. Litt vanskeligheter med at Google sier du skal kjøre kjempe omvei for å komme dit. Men hotellet er greit. Rommeene er gamle, trenger en real makower. Aircon funket ikke om du ikke henger nøkkel til rommet der som betyr at det blir glovarmt når du ikke er der. Ellers er betjening fantastisk. God beliggenhet, flott strand området, men servicen er der beste jeg har opplevd på lenge
