We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel del Sole. Enrico is the definition of hospitality. He was so helpful and welcoming. We weren’t just guests. We were family. 😊The place itself is nice, clean, and you get a delicious breakfast too. The great reviews are accurate. This is a wonderful stay in Riomaggiore. We definitely recommend.

The owner is great and makes sure you understand how to get around the village and VERY STEEP hill. It sits at top of village and provides paid parking on site. The is a large parking garage across the street that other hotels use. There are two levels with 4 rooms each with steep step access and outside patio. Buildings are very old (like every other building in the village) but pretty well maintained considering their age. Not fancy but comfortable.

Und hat der sehr nette und zuvorkommende Inhaber des Hotels in Empfang genommen. Es ist ein kleines Hotel oberhalb der Einkaufsstraße von Riomaggiore.
Das Hotel ist gepflegt und äußert sauber.
Die Zimmer haben alles, was man benötigt und wir wurden vorher gefragt ob wir einen Parkplatz benötigen. Dieser war für 20€ je Nacht zu haben.
Morgens bereitet der Inhaber ein liebevolles Frühstück vor.
Die Unterkunft setzt sich für den Erhalt des Nationalparks ein und bittet nachhaltig zu sein, wodurch u.a. die Zimmer leider sehr kalt waren und auch nicht wärmer zu stellen waren. Bei den dünnen Bettlaken hat uns das eher weniger gefallen.
Wir könne das Hotel empfehlen.

We stayed in Cinque Terre and wanted a place that wasn't totally quiet (Corniglia) or super busy (Montarosso), so settled on Riomaggiore and glad we booked this place. The walk up the hill is a bit inconvenient, but the friendly service was amazing.
Enrico spent time with us when we checked in, going thru where to hike, helping us get the Cinque Terre card, plus there is daily complimentary breakfast 8a-10a which was awesome - I got my yogurt and oats, prosciutto and cheese sandwich (the bread is fantastic), and croissants and other pastries, not to mention the espressos and teas and juices, and fruits!
Highly recommend for the breakfast and kindness.
You probably won't get the same kind of help, kindness and attention in other areas or other hotels. It made our stay 10/10.

Arrived in Riomaggiore early, a breathtaking village, and was able to leave our luggage while the room was being prepared. Returned an hour later (still earlier than official check in), and room was ready. Enrique was extremely helpful, providing information about the Cinque Terre Parco hike. His wife makes an amazing cappuccino at breakfast time. Breakfast was light and delicious, and did the job to fuel us for our hikes. Each room has a terrace which is ideal for watching the sunset after a long day. The location is walkable to the restaurants, the start of the Cinque Terre hike, the sea, where there is a small rocky public beach and about 15 minutes to the train station. Of all the towns, Riomaggiore has the most personality, is less busy than Monterosso but an easy train ride to all the villages which are worth checking out. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay, so close to the station and main area/ marina. Lots of restaurants close by. Very safe and secure. Rooms kept very clean. Only thing to be aware of it’s about 7/8 min uphill, but most hotels in the area are the same. Would stay again here. Enrique was very informative of things to do/ cheap transport passes etc.

This is a great hotel with perfect access to the Cinque Terre. Riomaggiore is undoubtedly the most charming of the five villages in the Cinque Terre. The room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless. The hotel owners were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and had all we needed for a day of exploring the area. I highly recommend this hotel and plan to come back there with family and friends.
