The hotel was situated a three minute walk to the train station which we used quite a bit during our two day stay. The rooms were average size and clean. The staff seemed a little bit snobby. We had booked two consecutive nights and they could not accommodate us in the same room so we had to switch rooms after the first night. They did, however, move all our luggage to the new room so that was good. Overall, I would give them an eight out of 10 rating.

Fomos recebidos na recepção pela Letícia que foi muito simpática, rápida e atenciosa. O quarto 264 fica na parte mais nova do hotel era igual a foto da internet. Tudo novo, tomadas USB-c e USB. Walking closet, cofre, banheiro enorme e quarto enorme. O restaurante, o salão de café da manhã e o lounge ficam ao lado da recepção no predio novo envidraçado, muito bonito e com jardim de inverno verdadeiro na parede de mais de 10m de altura. Os garçons e garçonetes muito bem treinados e o staff da recepção também muito atenciosos. Silvia, muito obrigado. Limpeza perfeita no quarto todos os dias. A academia também muito boa, pequena, mais perfeita, tudo novo. Quanto a localização, colado na estação de trem Central, mas sem barulho. Levamos 20 minutos a pé até o porto. Basta pegar uma rua diretamente.

A fantastic hotel. A lot of money has been spent renovating it to a high standard. Our room was excellent with an amazing view over the town. The breakfast was generally good, but the hot choices did not have warmers under them and were therefore cold! The receptionists were super helpful with check-in and guiding us to the underground car park. As it is an old hotel, there is more than one lift. The one we used was quirky and tiny - only fitting 2 people with 2 cases.

There seems to be a wide variety of room conditions in this hotel. The rooms pictured on Expedia are the nice rooms and the room we checked into was not typical of the pictures. There was a large bubbling on the wall and the room needed various things fixed. It was very clean and the bathroom was updated. The only issues in the bathroom was the showerhead was too close to the front wall and was a vertical rain shower also the commode was tight in a corner and your knee would hit the wall.
