Hotel Roma Sud

Hotel is a good option to who is arriving in Rome, but not to whom depend to public transport, it doesn’t have direct access to bus line and train. Breakfast could have more variety like eggs and more options of fruits.

Breakfast very lackluster with limited choices

The hotel was clean and the staff did their best given what was available. Breakfast buffet was ok not with many options though. Getting around from the hotel was mainly by uber / / taxi which was very expensive. The nearest train station is about 30mins walk but unsafe to do this as you literally have to walk on the motorway with no pedestrian path, so still have to get a costly uber / taxi to get there. Locating the hotel entrance is also a little tricky cos theres one access ftom the motorway and another access from a back carpark - so you need to keep an eye on both if you dont want to miss your uber pick up. Unless you have a rental car to get further enough for dining - you're stuck with either ordering food via deliveroo or ensuring you're full from your daytrip be fore arriving back at the hotel cos theres no restaurant at the hotel.

We have stayed at this property many times in the past and always enjoy our stay. The train station is nearby and it is easy and convenient to take the train to Rome.

The property is conveniently located to the rail station Tor Vergara which travels to Rome Termini frequently throughout the day. The trip takes approximately 15mins and costs 1.50 euros. The hotel staff were less than helpful and not friendly except for the housekeeping staff. On the morning of our arrival the hotel messaged us directions as to how we could access their parking lot but since we were already on the road we didn’t see their message. Their main parking lot is accessed only via the Hwy but Goggle Maps doesn’t show you that unless you put in a different address in the search bar. Due to that we ended up parking in their employee lot which we were told is not supervised and unsafe. I asked why they hadn’t forwarded me their instructions the day prior to our arrival but no answer or explanation was given. Most frustrating experience and totally avoidable. The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to Frascati, quaint place with the funkiest restaurants & cafes. We ended up going there for dinner as our hotel doesn’t offer anything along those lines and staff weren’t too helpful in their recommendations.

The Hotel is away from Rome city which means the transport is difficult and since taxis are very expensive staying at this place will cost you a lot if you don’t have a car. For 2km distance the taxi charged us 31EUR! They have no restaurant, no place like kitchen to eat except the Breakfast room which is only open 06:30 to 09:30. It means if you buy food as a take away and bring it to the hotel you need to eat it in your own room or go outside the hotel in front of the entrance. No single place or opportunity with microwave etc. When we arrived the shower holder was broken and the room’s telephone didn’t work, they haven’t checked them before giving us the room and sent a technician for fix while its not expected to disturb the guests and do the jobs after check in. The cleaning personal used to open and enter our room quickly and immediately before we let them in or approve their entry which is very impolite. Another negative thing is the navigation to the hotel reception. It’s very confusing where to find the reception and there is no signs on the location. The hotel logo is also something that makes anyone more confused by having a red triangle sign in front of the name and makes you/taxi driver think its pointing to the right direction, see the attached picture to understand what i mean. It could be a circle instead of a triangle to avoid this confusion!

Tutto sommato nella media, buona posizione

Uso questa struttura come punto di riferimento per i miei viaggi di lavoro e di piacere. Situata all’interno dell’autostrada in un ambiente tranquillo offre ottime camere, silenziose, pulite ed insonorizzate. La colazione, abbondante, propone pietanze internazionali, tuttavia per un 4* mancano le uova con il bacon. Sarwbbe necessario qualche parcheggio in più all’interno del perimetro autostradale per evitare di parcheggiare fuori. Consigliatissima.

L'indirizzo fornito da Hotels.com è errato. Hotel con unico accesso da area di servizio Frascati est. Se la salti devi uscire dall'autostrada, riprenderla al contrario in direzione sud, uscire alla prima uscita e riprenderla di nuovo al contrario in direzione nord. Stessa cosa devi fare per ritornare in hotel tutte le volte che esci per qualche motivo. L'hotel in compenso è bello, nuovo, pulito, con una colazione ottima e abbondante.

Hotel claims to have restaurant inside hotel and to have "shuttle service upon request" (from Tor Vergata Train Station) on website, but both claims are false.

Hotel was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Only issue was accessing the hotel, the main entrance is off of the highway. You can access the hotel through a street but will have to walk through a gate, parking there before the gate is not monitored. Good stay overall.

Nothing to eat nothing to do way too far from Rome

As i said its clean and staff are lovely. Nor have English TV channels, not have room table clocks. No area informations booklet.
