Hotel Sant'Antonin

This hotel is one of best secrets in Venice. A mansion of a local industrialist, it is still owned and managed by his family. It has a great character, a beautiful garden, and it is surprisingly affordable.

Staff was amazingly kind. After traveling through US I expect a mediocre service environment. These people were so kind, over the top helpful. The property is a converted third generation home and exquisite. Breakfast was not what we expected. It was lacking nothing including fresh everything and cappuccino made for us.

Didn’t try the breakfast but I had a great overall experience!

The location is great and the staff were very helpful. The garden is beautiful.

Bodde i rommet helt på toppen. Som en leilighet med takterrasse- helt fantastisk. Nydelig hageområde. Området er rolig, men restauranter, offentlig vannbasseng mm er i umiddelbar nærhet. Ca 35 min. gåtur fra San Marco parkeringshus.

Équipe réception vraiment top. Plusieurs parlent français. Merci à Rocco pour son conseil de concert. Nous avons apprécié le surclassement et la souplesse pour l’heure du Check out. Merveilleux endroit avec jardin. Rare dans Venise. Nous reviendrons !

The hotel is well located, away from the centre of Venice but still close to various vaporetto stops which makes it easy to get around. The hotel itself is lovely and very comfortable - the air conditioning was strong and quiet, perfect in the June heat. The staff were very friendly and made our stay a delightful one.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cet hôtel. Notre chambre était atypique et dans le thème de Venise ce qui était un plus très agréable. Très bon petit déjeuner copieux top pour bien démarrer la journée. Seul petit bémol, lit double avec 2 matelas simples, pas très agréable pour dormir proches à deux, avec un trou qui se forme entre les 2 matelas au court de la nuit.

Hotel lindo, com um jardim incrível, o staf (principalmente do café da manhã) eram muito simpáticos e solicitos. A localização é boa, facil da chegar da estação do vaporetto, sem muitas pontes no caminho. Adoramos.

I stayed here for the second time. Very large and clean room. Bed large and good. Separate bathroom also large and clean. No noise. Only the pillows quite hard to my taste. Breakfast satisfactory. Nice staff who respect your privacy.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sant' Antonin, staying from November 27 until December 2nd due to flight cancellations. The real gem of this property is the staff. We were grateful for their kindness and support throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to help us make bookings in the area, figure out transportation, and adjust our plans. The property is nice and the area isn't as populated by tourists which we preferred. The courtyard behind the building is beautiful and likely used often during warmer months. The free breakfast is not the best we've had during our stays but it was reasonable with options and barista-made coffee comes with a small cost. Drip coffee is available for free. We stayed in "Camera 3" which is the first room off of the entry courtyard. The winning element was a full bathtub. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. The room is a little dark and slightly dank due to it's proximity to the water and lower level. It felt like living in a basement. There were a few issues with flushing toilets during high tide but resolved each day as tides changed, and the shower smells awfully musty and odd - we only used the bathtub. The only other element that isn't ideal is the door is very hard to close (no doorknob or handle) and the locking mechanism is right against the wall, also making it hard to lock the door after closing.
