Park Hotel Silemi

I have to thank all the staff. They were all friendly and accommodating. The seafront view was priceless. Slept with the balcony doors open every night and listened to the waves. Watched the sun come up in the morning a few times also. Taormina in the background and the town was enjoyable during the evening. The bar staff and the kitchen staff were amazing, the food was excellent. It's difficult to complain about this place. The Sicily my father wanted me to discover.

A beautiful, relaxing beachfront hotel just a few minutes away from Taoromina.

At first glance, this hotel is supposed to be four stars, but as you arrive at the building you immediately get the feeling you’re entering from the back of the hotel. The entrance already signals that the place is underfunded and very tired. The hotel has four floors and two small elevators. We got a room on the third floor. When we arrived on our floor, the corridor was dark, and the wall lamps had no light bulbs. The room itself was fairly spacious with a comfortable bed – and that’s about the only positive impression I had regarding the room. The air conditioning worked, but it was so loud that it was impossible to sleep. The next day, we noticed the room was full of ants. The bathroom was relatively clean but very worn out. The plastic shower cabin was patched up with silicone, and the water didn’t drain properly. For this reason alone, I wouldn’t classify this as a 4-star hotel. Breakfast was very basic: one type of eggs (scrambled), cut-up sausages, a small selection of ham, cheeses, fruits, and some sweet pastries. That would have been enough for me, but the fact that a supposed four-star hotel in Italy serves instant coffee with powdered milk is simply unacceptable. On the positive side, the hotel is located directly on the beach, which is convenient. However, the sunbeds were old and broken. The pool was clean and of a decent size. Overall, this hotel is in desperate need of investment. I certainly wouldn’t give it 4 stars – at best, maybe two.

Perfect location and friendly staff

Muy amables en la atención, la piscina impecable, el desayuno completo y se puede cenar muy rico en el hotel, tienen estacionamiento gratuito y eso es genial!! Volvería sin duda👌

Vi tillbringade tre nätter på hotellet. FANTASTISK personal och väldigt mysig miljö, lugnt och avslappnat kändes genuint Italienskt. Rummen var välstädade trots att de var ganska slitna, och vi saknade vattenkokare. Utsikten från balkong var magisk. Hotellets gäster har fri tillgång till en privat strand som ligger bara några trappsteg ner, rent och fint med solstolar och parasoll. Absolut den finaste strand vi besökt under vår semester på Sicilien. Något vi upplevde mindre bra var att det låg lite för avsides för oss då vi gärna vill ha närhet till restauranger och någon butik att kunna handla lite förnödenheter i. Hotellet ligger i utkanten av Letojanni och det var en bra bit att gå för att kunna handla och komma till restaurangerna. Utbudet var väldigt begränsat. Frukosten var inte heller den bästa. Lunchmenyn på hotellet var bra och pizzorna rekommenderas verkligen, supergoda! Ett hotell vi rekommenderar främst för den fina stranden och den trevliga personalen.

Very friendly personel! The location right on the beach was great . Restaurants of Letojanni are within 15 minutes of walking distance. It is an older hotel but quite well maintained.

Hotel was very tired and in need of sprucing up. Area around pool was covered with artificial grass which was extremely hot to walk on with bare feet!!! Staff were friendly. Dining options limited. We wanted just a snack but had to sit down at bar& order a meal. It took 20 mins to place an order and 45 mins for our meal to arrive. Hotel at the quieter less scenic end of Letojanni beach. View from our seaview room was however spectacular. Breakfast was aplenty with lots of choices. Lots of cake and pastries. Hotel was clean. We had clean towels every day. Not always necessary (thinking not eco friendly). 15 mins walk into town. Not a lot going on in the town basically a walk along prom and back but not a picturesque prom. Just restaurant after restaurant.Scruffy, lots of rubbish etc. Bus to Toamina goes from piazza Cagli which right up the other end of Letojanni bay from hotel. Approx 25 mins walk. City sightseeing bus tour from Letojanni is VERY long and Italian bus driver drove very fast along very winding roads and up sides of mountain....a lot of the time on his phone too😏We couldn't wait to get off. Wasted a whole day on a bus!! Castemola worth a visit if you can stomach the bus ride! Also Alcantara Gorge is beautiful. Well worth a visit. We went early morning and much quieter.

The room was big and the bed was very confortable. Our room had a balcony, and the view was wonderful. Breakfast was good and the attendants were very friendly

The hotel is wonderful. Rooms (especially the ocean facing ones are beautiful with big balconies…note however you do lose sun in late afternoon) Breakfast very good, staff very attentive. A lovely pool area as well and proximity to beach is amazing just 20 steps. Parking is available and is good.(important for Sicily) The hotel could do with a paint job on outside but don’t let that put you off inside is great. The hotel would benefit from offering some kind of shuttle service to Taormina or even Lettojanni. As location is very isolated. 25-30 euros taxi ride to Taormina. Even lettojanni is a 30 min walk and bus connections to Taormina are sporadic and unreliable. Some kind of golf buggy service even at a charge for guests would be ideal. All in all superb place and would definitely stay again.

Très déçu par l’hôtel ! Hormis la vue depuis la chambre sinon que de déceptions : fuite d’eau dans la salle de bain, façade de l’hôtel + que vétusté, climatisation sans arrêt arrêtée (obligé de demander à chaque fois à l’accueil sa mise en route),pas de transats sur la plage et certains sont cassés. Petit déjeuner avec peu de choix

Hôtel familial directement en bord de mer , vue magnifique depuis toutes les terrasses et balcons , personnel charmant , petit déjeuner buffet au top , séjour parfait de 5 jours . A recommander. Pascal

Lovely location , with great views and pool. A lttle tired in places but a nice traditional feel. Cleanliness great and a fun barman who put the football on for us 😀

Fantastisk charmerende, hyggeligt, og romantisk hotel i gammel stil. Ligesom taget ud fra en Agatha Christie roman :-) Totalt lækkert at man kan gå direkte ud i Middelhavet fra hotellet. Og en fantastisk dejlig udsigt til havet, nærområdet omkring Letojanni og Taormina. Eneste minus er morgenmaden der bestemt ikke er noget at tale positivt om :-( Brødet er tørt, og udvalget er ringe - specielt set i forhold til rejsens samlede pris. Det kunne være dejligt hvis der var mulighed for tilvalg af all inclusive. Det har de fleste hoteller i Spanien, med respekt for sig selv, fundet ud af. Men ellers som sagt, et meget dejligt og romantisk sted.

I enjoyed my stay at the Park Hotel Silemi. The room was spacious and the large balcony facing the ocean was a very nice treat. All the areas were clean and well maintained. The staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a decent variety and the food was was fresh. The restaurant was convenient and the prices were reasonable, but I wish there were more variety on the menu. The private beach was definitely a plus and it was clean. Given the opportunity, I would stay at the Park Hotel Silemi again, and would recommend.
