The staff was really great and helped me deal with a situation created by both another hotel and hotels.com
so I am really grateful for that.
The free meal at night is really a great add on, and delicious.
The room was clean, big, with everything you need and the window could open which was great considering the nights were cool enough to get some fresh air. Location is perfect as well, right next to the castle. They have pyjamas from S to XL. Didn't try the communal bath but I liked that there is a code for women.
There is a 7 Eleven nearby.

It’s a 15 minute walk from the station and there is not much nearby but perfect for visiting the castle. Staff are friendly and the hotel offers a free meal of meat and rice each evening from 6.30pm. There is an onsite bathhouse. Room was a bit small but standard for Japan.

Perfect little hotel close to the castle. A little bit further away from the centre which means it's quieter than other places. Rooms were a little small - but all the staff were great! Breakfasts were large - but need to be purchased from the desk. No frills but a great last minute base for our time in Matsumoto

I would use this place again. It is conveniently located the main attractions and walking distance to everywhere in Matsumoto I wanted to visit. The staff were very helpful! Although the parking here is not free and it’s ¥1,000 per day, when I couldn’t find parking, one of the staff went into the rain with me to help find me find a spot for my car. Incredible customer service. The room looks a little run down but it serves its purpose. Loved that it has a fridge. No microwave though which was sad. Overall, I would recommend and come here again!

The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was super friendly. They don’t allow tattooed people to use the onsen unless you cover them, but the girl at the reception, who was super nice, help me putting the tape on my tattoos and I was able to use the onsen. Good position, close to the Matsumoto Castle and 10 minutes walk from the station. Recommended!

松本城を観にこちらを利用しました。ホテルのお部屋から、お城が見えてとても良かったです。大浴場（女性）は、思っていたより小さかったのがチョッと残念でした。スタッフのみなさん、とても丁寧に接してくださって良かったです。

I found a strand of someone else's hair in my bed and black stains on the pillowcase. I had to ask the staff to replace it with a clean one. This is the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in.
