Can’t even imagine a hotel in a better area than this one! After traveling 2 hrs, & 15 mins on the bullet train from Tokyo, this places is worth a stop. I loved it! It’s an easy walk with your luggage’s from the train station. The mall is also in the train station or right next to it, and the hotel might be on or 2 buildings next to the train station. Very convenient! If you want to explore Kyoto’s more modern side, & or just want to drop your luggage off so you can explore the old town this is your hotel. I loved it.

We loved the Thousand Kyoto hotel. The room was big clean and well designed. It is close to the main train station. Before our arrival we contacted the hotel for taking a reservation for us at a restaurant. Everything worked perfectly. Thanks to the excellent concierge service. We also had breakfast included. The hotel offers a variety of different options at the buffet. Further they have a small menu card to order from. In total “The thousand Kyoto” is one of the best examples of Japanese excellence and hospitality. We would book it any time again.

Simply the most amazing hotel I've ever stayed at. I just loved the lobby - it felt like the palace in Dune, so open and artistic and beautiful. The room was wonderful. There was also an iPad that easily controlled lights and AC and it was not clunky at all, rather super easy to use. The staff were immensely friendly and helpful. Can't say enough about Thousand Oaks and I will definitely return.

The hotel staff are super courteous and provided caring services to us from check in to check out. They offered to take photos for us at the beautiful lobby and you can rent a tempur pillow (hard/soft for u to choose). Location is great too. Only 4 minutes walk from Kyoto station. If you travel from Osaka, highly recommend this hotel. It’s super easy to travel to Kansai airport too!
