MAYAB Playa - 5Th. Ave

Super convenient to go and walk around, but there was no parking anywhere near and nothing is marked or has signs. The bed was clean thankfully the rest of the room wasn’t. The bathroom was full of mould and was dirty. There was hair all over the floor and in the shower. I got what I paid for and had a wonderful time and a safe spot to sleep

El cuarto estaba lleno de cucarachas y no servía el aire acondicionado... El calor era terrible en la habitación, se le pidió a las chica de recepción un ventilador y dijo que no tenían, GAD solo usamos el cuarto para bañarnos y descansar unas horas, lo único rescatable es la ubicación y la terraza.

Receptionist is rude and not interested in guest services. I arrived early and without a hello or anything she snapped “check in is at 3”, I said I know but wondering if there is somewhere I can store my bag. She said No, come back at 3. When I came back at 3, again no greeting just said I need your ID, go to the 2nd floor. Later I saw a bulletin on her office door offering luggage storage, but she didn’t share that info. The pool loungers were covered in bird poop and pile of garbage in the corner of the deck. The cleaning people were very nice. The room was fine and a decent price.

Muy buena atención, aunque pueden mejorar en la limpieza, se encuentra a 1 cuadra de la playa y también, en la esquina de la quinta avenida está un ado, muy céntrico, todo queda cerca. Muy buena experiencia

Consider this place a "free reign" place to stay....kinda like an Air BnB or something. No real staff available for help or cleaning but it's steps from the beach, the action on 5th and the city of Playa del Carmen. Keep aware of your surroundings because there's no extra security but it's fine if you keep your wits about you.

El personal de limpieza nunca se vio pero ahí mismo tiene un letrero que pasarán cada 3 días, el joven delgado de recepción anda en su mundo pero igual es hotel solo para dormir

Le falta mantenimiento al sanitario, llaves oxidadas, y falta limpieza en general

Excelente para pasar la noche el chavo de la recepción súper amable, eso sí en la noche mucho ruido por que obvio es la 5ta avenida pero para dormir bien y más si vas a bucear está genial llegas tan cansado que duermes, solo falta un poco de mantenimiento

The room was dark and in a really bad condition, the bed sheets and pillow cases are very old and stained. The bathroom smelled terrible and no ventilation. The hotel doesn't have an elevator and the stairs are very narrow and slippery. We only stayed there for one night. I do not recommend it.

The room was spotless and in the best location for the best price!

La habitación tenía el lavamanos tapado de los días que reservé nunca hicieron el aseo de la habitación el personal dijo que solo se hacía cada tercer día nunca cambiaron sábanas toallas estuvo terrible

Localização maravilhosa, quarto amplo. Infelizmente peguei um quarto sem ventilacao com cheiro de mofo mas era logar onar condicionado que melhorava. E o banheiro, tava precario mas dava pro gasto

Excellent location with everything around and 1 minute walk distance to the very beautiful beach

Solo fue hospedaje para uno,el lugar tenía cabello en la cama y la regadera, la toalla de baño realmente vieja y con hoyos,no me sentí segura ya que el lugar tenía una gran puerta de cristal con acceso a un balcón compartido y ese segurito no me permitió dormir tranquila,al igual que la chapa muy sencilla de recamara con la contaba la habitación y por otra parte en la mañana cuando salí no tenía claro donde dejar la lleve ya que no hay nadie a esa hora,encontré un buzón donde supuse debía poner la llave y después cuando quise salir la puerta de la entrada tenía llave,supuse que era la segunda llave en el llavero que me entregaron sin embargo no me lo mencionaron al entregarme la,ni está señalado en algún letrero que primero hay que abrir la puerta antes de devolver las llaves,por suerte casi inmediatamente bajo otro huesped que estuvo apunto de hacer exactamente lo mismo,apenas alcancé a decirle que no soltará la llave dentro del buzón

Habitación limpia con buen espacio, aunque no lo que se mostraba en la app, aún así cómoda, y tener en cuenta que está esq.5ta. av. Por lo cual es mucho el ruido hasta media noche

We booked a family suite as it was 2 adults and one child as Expedia says 16 years old is still a child. When we came to book in the female told us she was not a child and it’s only a room for 2 people. I don’t know if it is a screw up with Expedia or them but it was not as I was trying to make them lose money, I paid for the extra person and pictures on the site showed 2 beds.She was very rude to us kept telling me no. Eventually she rolled her eyes and just handed me the keys. One of us had to sleep on the floor. The male at reception was very nice though. Always greeted us and lots of smiles. The room was great, hot water lots of water pressure and very clean. Great view of 5th ave and only noisy till about 11:45 from nearby bars. I would only book this as 2 people per room to avoid the bad experience checking in because this was actually a lovely place to stay.
