Le Chateau Ocean Villas

The villa was a short ride from the airport. Our host met us at the entrance and took us to our place. He explained everything we needed to know about the place. He would respond quickly on What’s App any time we had a question. The bed was very comfy, the shower had good water pressure and it was very clean, with the ocean just across the street. One of our favourite restaurants was only 100 setups from the villa. We loved the fact that we could drink water right from the tap! The whole island drinks desalinated water from the ocean. Less plastic water bottles!! He booked our taxi for us on our last day to get back to the airport. We truly loved Aruba and would recommend you stay with Fred!!

This property is a lovely colonial house that is located just off of the ocean in a very safe neighbourhood. The rooms were spacious and we were very comfortable during our stay. We received a very warm welcome and if there was anything that we needed as we had to do was ask. I would absolutely recommend this property, you will have a great experience!

Thank goodness for our host Fred (who we now lovingly call uncle fred from Aruba lol) He let us check in within 15 minutes of booking, greeted us at the gate, gave us the run down of everything, and was available for any questions or concerns (which there were no concerns) that we had. Such a well kept place within walking distance to food and shopping. We truly felt home here! Bed was comfy, sheets were soft and clean, pillows were perfect and, really I just can’t say enough good things about this place. You won’t regret your stay here! We only got to stay 4 days (we had a little misfortune on the first 4 days of our 8 day vaca), and we hope/plan to stay here on our return visit to Aruba. Thank you again Uncle Fred! It was close to everything we could walk to all the places we wanted

Upon arrival we were a little disappointed about the aesthetic of the property in comparison to the pictures. The owner “Fred” came out to greet us in which he seemed very hospitable initially. We got a tour of our “executive suite” which was outdated to say the least, but we stuck with it hoping to have a good experience. The bed lining was stale in the regards of feeling like they haven’t been thoroughly washed. THEN, a turn for the worst….. We went to shower and there was no hot water, it was room temp almost cold. When we brought our concerns to the owner he then made it seem like we were the problem for not wanting to take a cold shower and would not accommodate us turning the hot water on. It’s been all downhill from there. Next morning we wake up to GIANT roaches which was an absolute deal breaker for us. I did not feel like this was an acceptable property and I would much rather had booked a resort like I initially sought out to do. I would not recommend based on MY standards of quality.

Fred Gee is a super host. The unit was very clean. We have stayed at his facility in the past and we go again. Great location.

The property's location was exactly where we wanted to be... One block from beach and an easy , safe walk to a great area for dining/shopping. Did not feel crowded and the locals are always delightful. The room was fine for the price point, exactly as expected. Missing a few necessities, but our host, Fred ,took care of things once mentioned. He was very kind when we thought our flight home was cancelled and even offered to pick us up from airport, if we needed to get back.

The property is so close to the Airport. The apartment was so clean. We were talking with the owners and we were able to rent bikes from them- brand new even, so we could bike the island. We highly recommend our friends and family to stay at Le Chateau Ocean Villas!!!!!

See Special Note at bottom. The apartment was exceptional. Clean, well stocked and secure. Fred is the owner and lives on site. This was our 4th visit to Aruba. We decided to avoid the high rise hotel / condo area. And, we are so hsppy we did. We walked just about everywhere because the apartment is just across the street from Surfside Beach. And a couple of blocks from The Marketplace mall. The Casino is next to the mall. Fred suggested we eat at the West Deck on our first night. The food was great and we went back and suggested it to others. Fred also suggested walking south on Surfside Beach and exploring. We ended up at Reflxions Beach Club and Restaurant . Once again, good food and a fun way to relax. We rented chairs and an umbrella for US$20 for the day! Walking / exploring Oranjestad is an adventure. 5 min or less from the Marketplace. Many places to eat and shop. Since you will be in an apartment there is a grocery store Mercardo in downtown. It caters to locals so the prices are much less and variety is superior to convience store in the Marketplace. There is s new upscale mall. The result is that there are numerous empty store fronts in old downtown. There are still plenty of shopping options so don't miss this area. Consider The California Lighthouse Dinner$$$ but truely unique, the Chop House at the Rennisance$$, and the Atlantis Submarine. NOTE, Arriving in Aruba by plane is easy and quick. GOING back to US Allow 3 hours extra!!

Quiet place off the beaten path between cruiseport and airport. Perfect!!

We stayed in the Junior Studio for 3 weeks and had plenty of space. Clean, secure and lovely with all the foliage. Fred is very friendly and chock full of information. He is also very well travelled. It is walking distance to great restaurants, shopping and grocery stores. We walked to Surfside Beach almost every day. The free Trolley rides in town are a hoot and they make beer stops, we rode it for hours. The only time we needed a taxi was to go to Noord for a Covid test for our return trip to the US. We had a wonderful time and would definitly stay here again!

Close to beach, restaurants within 5 minute walk. On-site caretaker very helpful. Close to airport.

Do not stay here- AVIOD at all costs. Ants Terrible internet Noisy Uncomfortable Poor AC Dirty

Fred was wonderful. Helped in anyway needed. Very happy with the stay there. Hope to go back again.

This property is a 5 minute walk to downtown shopping and restaurants. The main beaches are not within walking distance, but we didn't find this to be an issue

Non eccelle in pulizia e silenzio, io nella stanza al primo piano, senti le macchine e i camion giorno e notte. Aria condizionata e frigorifero molto rumorosi, li ho staccati. Il Wi-Fi funziona ad intermittenza. Non c’è cambio asciugarmi tutti i giorni. Molto gentile il gestore, non si paga poco , ma Aruba è molto cara . Zona assolutamente tranquilla e sicura come tutta l’isola .

The property is close to shopping and restaurants. It is also close to the main street which can be noisy at times but it didn't bother us. It had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay.

My stay here was wonderful! Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 5 days and had a blast. Fred was awesome he was very welcoming, made us feel at home. The villa is a walking distance to a few bars, restaurants, markets and beach which was very convenient. Our place was very spacious and comfortable. 2 ACs which kept the place nice and cool. I’d definitely stay here again highly recommended.
