SkyCity Hotel

Everything was spot-on..right from the Greeting Guest's from Front-desk, great Customer Service, Restaurant Areas, Housekeeping, Excellent Room, amenities, bathroom, safe, love how you put the Room Guest's name onto T.V..all the facilities, comforting, n yes the Casino, Great job with all Staff, they need a medal, I will recommend for families, n myself will be coming back for Luxury Retreat again, right n the heart of town/central.n also activities..so thank you very much, thoroughly enjoyed my Stay..

Convenient

Nice place and very central

The hotel is very central, good for people to see around Auckland city. Also Intercity bus station is there, quite convenient. There are a lot things to enjoy in the hotel too. The hotel is very well kept.

Great

Our go to place for staying in the heart of Auckland, from the 'wings' at Andy's to the various late night food options at Food Republic plus all the other venues available in and around Sky City. Of course we also had to make sure the casino didn't fall over by making a small donation. Thanks once again SkyCity

Restaurant Staff not very friendly

This hotel is located at the foot of Sky Tower and at the bus stop of SkyDrive from the airport. The room was so good.

Lifts were very busy

Excellent place to stay if you have to stay somewhere in Auckland CBD. Being a casino property it has heaps of security and places to eat and drink.

No Microwave, no Cutlery incase you brought something up to your room with you, no Hot Chocolate for those who don’t drink Tea or Coffee. Have to drink out the bathroom tap. Outlets in weird places. Lighting was terrible. Bella who checked us in did a horrible job at explaining the parking situation. Told us it would be $35 for our 2 night stay and didn’t mention we had to come back to reception to get a parking discount pass so we paid $48 and when we went back to ask what happened and spoke with Misha she was so lovely and explained everything perfectly and said to go to the parking office to get a refund so we went to the parking office and they said they don’t issue refunds and that’s the receptions job. Went back to Misha and she said they don’t issue refunds either but gave us an email to inquire further with management. Checked out with Bella again and she tried changing another $35 for parking and tried arguing with us when we asked for a single exit pass. Very disappointed with Bella’s service. Misha was amazing. Won’t be staying again.

We were staying here for the NZ Darts Masters so it was very convenient for the activities planned. Our room was large, modern and clean with a massive king bed. I was also delighted with the amount of TV channels available. It seems the trend for hotels to not provide many channels anymore and definitely not Sky but Sky City did. The Sky Drive bus from the airport stops right beside the hotel and checking in and out was easy. I thought the $200 bond on my credit card was high though and I now have to wait to see if it is deleted. Overall, it was great value for money and I would happily stay here again
