Alvea Hotel

Breakfast was excellent. Friendly and helpfull staff.

Room was not very big, but spotless clean and confortable. Conveniently located near to the airport. Good value for the money.

The good - my plane was delayed 10 hours and there was a miscommunication but their van had been sent to pick me up even though I took a taxi. Rooms are clean and staff are generally friendly. The not good - if you tell people breakfast starts at 6:30am make sure it is ready. I arrived at 6:30am and it wasn’t and they offered me some rice and a couple sausages. The terrible - I asked them to arrange me a transfer from the hotel to El Nido. Price changed on the same day which I couldn’t be bothered arguing about as it was nominal. What isn’t ok is that they have an arrangement with a transport company that uses a filthy van with broken cup holder and vents and the air con doesn’t work. It only got worse from there. DO NOT book transport through the hotel as I think some of the staff might be on the take and think it’s acceptable to arrange sub standard transport for you.

The buffet each day for breakfast was nice and different daily.

Alvea property and its staff are the same— excellent.

Breakfast was limited to Philipino options and food was not kept warm. The room was clean but on the small side. A table or bench for suitcases would be useful. Overall, a good location, helpful staff and a pleasant stay.

Convenient location walking distance to baywalk and markets. Courteous and super nice staff. Breakfast was also good.

Highly recommended. Reasonable rates, excellent front desk and buffet breakfast staff, bed was firm and pillows were amazing. This front desk person was very helpful and informative - just forgot her name. Shout out to the buffet guys - Mark, Jude, Judy and Trixie!

Breakfast has a lot of room for improvement! Room amenities can also see some improvement! Staff is superbly friendly and helpful and makes up for everything the hotel needs improvement from. From front desk, driver, security and housekeepers are really commendable!

Walkable. Staff was wonderful

Bed and pillows were good, shower was fine. Bathroom and bedroom size were good but plain, little furniture. Breakfast was not so nice - half a dozen local options (not to my taste), eggs, toast bread, butter and jam, and a fruit. There was also coffee, but you had to ask for the milk. Nothing more. There was a nice little rooftop, I had to ask to use it for my yoga, but they allowed it. I would NOT recommend booking the tours with them, they are extremely overpriced and they use a cooperative (Palawan Operators Tourist Multipurpose Cooperative) that is really catering for the local tourist - the van was in a horrible state, you’re constantly waiting for people that are late, the information you receive is mostly incorrect or incomplete and the guide evades responsibility when you ask questions, saying that «she just run the tours and the problem is the agency». Do yourself a favour, and book with one of the well reviewed companies on booking websites.

Clean room, great service and staff, loved the complimentary shuttle to and from the airport.

Exceeded my expectations! Our room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. A The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Definitely recommending this place!
