I know that the room was advertised as a small double wit a window. However the photos of the room made it look larger than it was. We slept at the bottom of the bed as it was less claustrophobic. The passage from the entrance door to the bed was virtually impossible for the two of us to negotiate if one of us accessing the toilet. I've been in bigger bathrooms in a small caravan.

Good stay could be better though . Ned more hooks . Ok for one night, wouldn’t stay long

One of the worst stays I've had in decades I clearly and politely asked months ago at the time of reservation to try and get a quiet room with window. I was given a room with a view to a highly trafficked high street, ambulances, noisy revellers shouting until late at night, cars, heavy trams and it was like being in a transport tunnel from early morning to late night. The window had no phonic insulation, there was no mention of such huge noise when I booked so I couldn't get my eye mask and ear plugs. I told in the morning at reception and was given mm ask and plugs but of poor quality. Useless. Even worse when I checked in and reminded the person about my request I was met with rudeness and the impression that I was asking for something special. I was there for work, I needed to study and read. I couldn't sleep more than 2 hours in 2 nights, I performed badly at my business activity. Just awful. They could've told me about such conditions. I wasn't there to see the castle!

The location is PERFECT, however d Rooms are so small it’s almost not live able . No soap in d bathroom, no eievator, only. Steps. It’s convenient but I won’t stay next time

Very small room not good for two people

Las ventanas no aíslan nada del frío ni del ruido (que es mucho al estar en una avenida principal), el WiFi es malísimo, va súper lento, y a veces se corta. La habitación no puede ser más pequeña, el baño de los aviones es más grande. Lo mejor es la ubicación.

It was clean, quiet, safe and helpful staff.

Fine place

The rooms are really small. Smaller than you could imagine. This was the branding for the hotel though hence the 5 stars because everything else is great! Service was good, location was amazing, and I got some free coffee from the staff. Very nice.

The person at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming!

Very good location, staff very friendly. Mattress is stiff as a rock, bathroom 1.5 square meters. Nothing special, staff accommodating but I am sure there are better options for the money.

Where to start if I could leave no stars I would. I will say I didn’t check reviews or look properly at this hotel before I booked but the price for what it is was way too much. The room was so small we both couldn’t be standing up at the same time. The bathroom was a box I’m only 5”2 and my knees almost touched the door sittting on the toilet. The tiny bit of floor space in the room was dusty and the room itself was grubby. There is absolutely nowhere to put your clothes other than in your suitcase in a hole under the bed. I do understand the need for budget hotels but that should be reflected in the price. We paid £223 for 2 nights which is extortionate for that room. We cut our losses and only stayed for one of the nights and found another hotel which was only £20 more expensive for the night. My advice to myself and anyone reading this check the reviews before you book and to the hotel the price you are charging is absolutely ridiculous for the facilities provided.

Basic and functional the hotel is like a small ship cabin

Great central location! I had a room at the back so it was super quiet. Staff accommodating and as I stayed multi days it was easy to get clean towels. i was offered a mid stay room clean but I did not need it. Good pressure hot shower and a comfortable bed - great if you want to spend your time and money out of the hotel exploring the city.

First off their is no elevator in the building their is no indication when booking the hotel that they have no elevator. I have mobility issues and had no idea I'd be humffing my back up three flights of stairs. The rooms are tiny, their are other hotel rooms in Edinburgh for the same price or near that have much larger rooms and elevators. Their was no point in being given a key card to get into the building because after tapping your card, you still had to wait to be let in. Says their is Aircon, their was no controllable aircon so ended up cooking in the tiny room. Staff however were very pleasant and polite.

Room was tiny although we were aware of what we were paying for. Not really a hotel more hostel like. Theres no lift so if your not fit forget it. Was very cold as its a listed building with bed up beside window. Staff were helpful and got us an extra duvet. Grand for short stay not long.

I'm all for low cost accommodation in a great location. Stayed here for 2 nights and was very uncomfortable but again, expectedly uncomfortable. What I can't put up with is no water for showers. Two days and two nights without hot water (or any water) for a shower. When I asked about if it was coming back on, I was told it was an old building and it happens. There is a Premier Inn a few doors up. Have a look there instead.

Budget hotel and conditions to be expected. The windows may as well be wide open as the noise from the traffic is so loud and it's single glazing, fire safety light stays on all night. Definitely worth investing in a nicer hotel but staff are welcoming and location central.

My first ever Easy Hotel stay. Clean no-frills small room. It's a pod dropped into an old building so there was no window but as I was literally arriving, leaving a bag, going out for a gig, coming back, sleeping and leaving in the morning a window was not needed.
