Hotel Indigo EDINBURGH - PRINCES STREET by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Very nice hotel in the heart of Edinburgh. Close to the train station and plenty of public transport. Walking distance to the Royal Mile and the castle. Very vice, cosy, luxurious room.

The room was terrible. No outlet worked, the bed was uncomfortable/old mattress. The area surrounding it was unsafe.

my room was lovely the staff are very nice and overall the hotel was very clean. It also very close to public transport which made it very convenient for travelling around.

Hotel and Staff were amazing, cannot fault in any way! Our room on the surface looked excellent but it was superficial, we booked a city view king room! View was incredible, large bed was great! But the flooring was all coming up and snagged clothes! Back of bathroom door was scuffed and hook hanging off! Just not quite the finish expected as per the rest of the hotel and the price paid!

Lovely hotel, clean and comfortable. Some outside noise in the night was the only problem.

I have stayed at the hot indigo multiple times and the quality of service and the maintenance of facilities is always impeccable. The rooms are well appointed. The staff are cheerful and genuinely concerned about you.

The property was lovely for a getaway weekend in Edinburgh! The hotel had a historic and cool vibe that made it fun going back in after an evening of shopping! It was also quant with enough room for two!

Wonderful hotel opposite Waverley station! Only criticism I would make is there is only 1 lift and if not working it’s a walk to first floor reception! I was on the 3rd floor so not ideal for the less able! The lift didn’t work on the 2nd morning!! Overall a really nice hotel. Would stay here again!

Right across the street from Waverly Station. Beautiful views of Old Town during breakfast. The room was small, but cozy and had everything we needed. Great hotel for the price.

I was very disappointed when I saw homeless people in the street and not much of my previous experience from princes street.

Hotel was excellent choice for us as it was easy to get almost anywhere from this location. The service was great and the breakfast menu was amazing. Will definitely be back again.

I loved my stay. The location is conveniently across from the train station, next to shopping and dining options and a short walk to the Royal Mile. The room was great, and the breakfast was excellent. The lift was not working during my stay, so if you have accessibility needs I would check with the hotel first.

Ich kann das Hotel nicht wirklich weiter empfehlen. Das Personal ist sehr kurz angebunden. Beim auschecken wurden wir nicht mal gefragt ob alles in Ordnung war. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Fenster Richtung Hinterhof. Neben dem Fenster verlief ein Lüftungskanal der immer Geräusche machte. Ausserdem wurden immer wieder Flaschen oder ähnliches in Container geleert was ziemlich laut war. Dies auch morgens um 7 bereits. Die Zimmertüren klappern ziemlich laut. Das hat sehr gestört. Im Badezimmer war es kühl, so dass man sich beim Duschen beeilen musste. Da die Dusche offen war, kam dies doppelt zum tragen. Das Bett war bequem mit einer grossen Decke. Frühstück ist ok, das Buffet ist sehr überschaubar aber man konnte sich diverses bestellen (Eierspeisen usw.). Das hat man aber nach 2-3 Tagen auch gesehen. Auch im Restaurant war es eher kühl und wir haben erst September.

Loved this hotel! It’s highly recommended and one of the few hotels in tow with air conditioning.

This was our second stay at this wonderful hotel. The ease of checking in, the proximity to the train station and being in the heart of everything makes this our favorite place to stay when in Edinburgh.
