Simply the best there is. The facility is beautiful and insulated unkept, but the real treasure are the owners and the staff. JP gets a special mention - he’s awesome. We’ve tried everywhere as we’re in Johannesburg often - but for the past few years we go straight here.

The Parkwood has an excellent location close to Rosebank. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our hotel room was large with a big bathroom and dressing area and a sitting area. The dining area and indoor/outdoor seating were very inviting.

We had a wonderful stay at "The Parkwood" it is a lovely safe area and a pretty well kept Boutique hotel. J.D. took great care of us and was an asset in every way.

This hotel is a 10 on every scale. Small boutique hotel with impeccable service and beautiful surroundings. Like living in a private garden with stunning outdoor areas and excellent rooms. Jean Paul gives service that you don’t find everywhere. Perhaps best hotel we’ve ever stayed in and that covers hundreds. Food is perfect. Best value on the planet.

The photographs on their website, and on hotel.com, were evidently taken some time ago. The place has its charms but it’s slo a little careworn. The living area of my room, number 10, looked onto one of the lap pools, the bedroom looked onto a dark interior courtyard. Overall the room - suite I guess - was a depressingly dark and dank. The Nespresso coffee-making device didn’t work. I checked to make sure it was plugged in correctly unplugged and replugged it to no avail. As I was getting ready to leave in my car the staff member I had told about it came running out to tell me he had gotten it to work. A little too little too late. This place doesn’t live up to its luxury image.

The Parkwood is a wonderful place. It is filled with lovely touches. The staff is amazing. Thank you JP and staff. Such a classy and relaxing stay. I enjoyed nature. ...took a dip in the lap pool. My room is spacious and complete with all the luxuries. A very peaceful stay. Great massage therapist- ( Sipho). Tasty breakfast. I will defiantly come back.

Nice place to stay in Joburg, very calm and safe area. Easy to reach any spot with uber within a few minutes.
A lot of returning guests, a bit like coming home.
Breakfast could possibly a bit pimped for people not focussed on cereals (would be okay to pay for it). Very fair price/quality relation anyhow.

The Parkwood exceeded my expectations. It is a very nice property with a very serene feeling to it. It feels very private and safe. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. It is a true five-star property but without any services that one would expect from a hotel. It’s more like a “guesthouse.” I loved it and would stay here again!
