Villa Moyal

It was nice to have the space at Villa Moyal, but with everything around you surrounded by high fences, razor & electric wire, I was not excited to walk at night. I would have rather stayed a few blocks away, closer to the restaurants and shops of Melrose Arch.

The unit was well kept, charming, yet modern. The location was perfect, only a few minutes walk to the shops. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place.

The ceiling was quite low which makes us very uncomfortable

This place is even better than the reviews give it credit for. It's modern, spacious, and the customer service is attentive. It has a pool, and although it does not have a gym, there's a really wonderful park with running trails next door. On top of that, it's quite literally steps away from Melrose Arch, close enough to food and attractions, but far enough to be quiet at night. I've stayed in many different places in the city, and this may be my new go-to place to stay in Joburg!

Great quiet location, with all the facilities you need in an apartment, withing really close walking (safe) distance to the shops/restaurants of Melrose Arch. Next time in JHB (for cricket at The Wanderers), I will be staying at Villa Moyal again. Thank-you

Desde o checkin até o momento de nossa saída fomos muito bem atendidos. Um especial agradecimento para o Sr. Banda que sempre se mostrou atencioso e solícito o tempo todo. O apartamento é ótimo, espaçoso, bem cuidado, bem equipado, muito limpo, confortável, localizado a meia quadra da entrada do Melrose Arch, um conjunto de lojas diversas, restaurantes e hoteis. É seguro ir a pé até lá, desde que não seja à noite. Isso é algo extremamente importante em uma cidade que tem um alto índice de violência urbana, principalmente contra estrangeiros. Os únicos pontos que achei incomuns na hospedagem: no ato do checkin, além do bloqueio que se faz do depósito do seguro, o atendente faz uma cópia do cartão de crédito (frente e verso), algo que eu nunca havia visto em lugar algum por onde já tenha ido. Coincidentemente ou não, o meu cartão foi clonado na África do Sul. Por sorte, acompanho a fatura no app e não tive maiores problemas para contestar a compra. Só que tive de bloquear o cartão. É bom ficar atento a essa situação. O outro ponto incomum é que, apesar de o café da manhã estar incluído na tarifa que escolhi, ao solicitar um capuccino, ele foi cobrado à parte. Também nunca havia visto algo assim em uma hospedagem dessa categoria. Enfim, são as regras deles, mas tanto isso quanto o fato de tirarem cópia do cartão de crédito do cliente no ato do ckin deveriam constar do anúncio deles no site do Hoteis.com para que o cliente não seja pego de surpresa como nós fomos.

We had a wonderful stay. Our apartment was beautiful, comfortable, quiet, and clean. The service was excellent and friendly. We would definitely stay again.

Very lovely place just near Melrose Arch shopping and dining area, close by to Sandton and Rosebank. Very nice stuff that addressed all our requests including late check-out. The kitchen equipment a bit missing however we got what was needed upon request. The place is very quiet and very well managed.

We were visiting Joburg (and South Africa) for the first time and were planning to come for events for Johannesburg Pride in Melrose Arch. Villa Moyal is across the street from Melrose Arch which is filled with wonderful restaurants and activities. Also wonderful was the included breakfast delivered to the room each morning. They let us check into the room very early as well. Would love to stay there again!

The apartment was better than expected. The venue was quiet and relaxing for our stay. We will be back.

A wonderful option in Johannesburg. Gives you lots of freedom in a good area.

Hotel bom mas precisa de transporte para sair de lá. Bebi uma água do frigobar e paguei uma fortuna. Transfer tb sai muito caro

Very nice and spacious appartments. Modern and with all possible commodities : washing machine, full kitchen. The appartement is supplies with wines and all possible drinks at reasonable price. I was there for a business trip. Exactly what I needed. I will go back there for sure.

Close to Melrose Arch shopping. Very comfortable and perfect for a family. Refrigerator stocked with various drinks. Television in every room. Large and beautiful bathrooms. Apartment staff super friendly! Michael is great and very helpful! Would definitely stay here again!

Just one negative note for the extra debiting of liquor not used and the swimming pool out of order, but for the rest the staff was very gentle and helpfull. The location close to Melrose arch is great for a short walk in the nice restaurants area. Gabriele

I have stayed here a few times. Staff are very pleasant and will help if they can. Apartments are well appointed, good beds and clean. Location is circa 100m from Melrose Arch and is in a nice suburb of Jburg. I recommend to anyone that is looking for a place that is larger than a hotel room for similar rates.
