My wife and I had a wonderful week at Barcelo Hamilton. The hotel is in a perfect location above where the promenade of the picturesque harbour of El Castell begins. From there it’s easy to tale a leisurely stroll with plenty of places to stop for drinks, meals, and shopping. We had a superior room with a spectacular sea view which was ideal for watching the never ending procession of boats of all shapes and sizes entering and leaving the port at Mahon. The staff are helpful and friendly. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast was excellent with choices for all tastes. The pool and the rooftop jacuzzis are great, as is the rooftop bar with panoramic views. All in all it’s a great hotel in a perfect location.

This was our 3rd stay at Barcelo Hamilton and wouldn’t consider anywhere else in the neighbourhood. East stroll round to Cales Fonts in 5 minutes, equally up to bus stop to Mahón and beyond. Be sure to get a sea facing room with balcony, possibly more expensive but worth every penny.

We stayed for a week here & found it a nice Adults Only oasis away from little people. It is nicely located with great sea views and very tranquil. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance and the restaurant does an excellent breakfast menu with plenty of choice. Staff are friendly and welcoming too.

Second stay at this property and once again it didnt disappoint. The sky bar was open this time which was great. Plunge pools and.plenty of sunbeds mademit a really relaxing stay. Reception staff are all so friendly and helpful. Great breakfast options. Loved our stay and will definitely return.

We wanted a convenient base for exploring Menorca and the hotel provided it. Our room was very comfortable and the sea view well worthwhile: it was surprisingly enjoyable watching the harbour traffic come and go. Breakfast was fairly good, though very busy at peak times which led to shortages of cups and cutlery. Also, some food items (e.g. bananas and nuts) only appeared occasionally. Almost all our other meals were taken elsewhere. In the evenings we ate at the very good local restaurants in the town of Es Castell and round the harbour at Cales Fonts (special mention for the excellent Sa Punta, 5 minutes’ walk away). Disadvantages mainly related to the nature of the hotel. It is much larger than the usual ones we use, and provided services like loud evening entertainment in the bar that we don’t have any use for. Although the staff were friendly and helpful, the servicing of the rooms was a little unpredictable. In summary, it wasn’t our favoured type of hotel but it did deliver what we wanted and we had a lovely holiday.

Gros soucis d’insonorisation des chambres : on entend tout nos voisins autour dehors également, dés 7h réveiller par le bruit de chaises tirées par les femmes de ménages horrible!! Pour un 4 étoiles ce n’est pas transcendant, les jaccuzis sont payants et même pas accessibles ( soit disant fermés ) Pour se faire comprendre ( en français) très compliqué puisque presque personne ne le parle c’est dommage. Hôtel que je ne recommande pas !! Nous sommes déçu, pour une si belle île.

L'hôtel en lui même est propre, le Petit déjeuner et le dîner sont bien aussi,cependant concernant les chambres,elles sont avec du carrelage au sol ( moquette dans les couloirs dès la sortie des ascenseurs)et du fait qu'il y du mobilier notamment les chaises avec les pieds en bois et sans patins,ben là c'est le dérangement est assuré ! En effet avec les autres chambres de côté au de dessus les clients qui tirent les chaises à bpas d'heure ben vous dérange ainsi que les femmes d'entretien, même le client que nous avions au dessus qui marchait pieds nus ,nous dérangez, c'est pour vous dire. Je trouve vraiment dommage que cette chaîne d'hôtel n'a pas remédier à ce problème car étant un hôtel pour adultes uniquement,nous ne sommes pas dérangé par les jeux d'enfants mais par ce que je viens de citer ! Du coup le séjour reposant n'était pas au rdv.

Second stay at this property and once again it didnt disappoint. The sky bar was open this time which was great. Plunge pools and.plenty of sunbeds mademit a really relaxing stay. Reception staff are all so friendly and helpful. Great breakfast options. Loved our stay and will definitely return.

We wanted a convenient base for exploring Menorca and the hotel provided it. Our room was very comfortable and the sea view well worthwhile: it was surprisingly enjoyable watching the harbour traffic come and go. Breakfast was fairly good, though very busy at peak times which led to shortages of cups and cutlery. Also, some food items (e.g. bananas and nuts) only appeared occasionally. Almost all our other meals were taken elsewhere. In the evenings we ate at the very good local restaurants in the town of Es Castell and round the harbour at Cales Fonts (special mention for the excellent Sa Punta, 5 minutes’ walk away). Disadvantages mainly related to the nature of the hotel. It is much larger than the usual ones we use, and provided services like loud evening entertainment in the bar that we don’t have any use for. Although the staff were friendly and helpful, the servicing of the rooms was a little unpredictable. In summary, it wasn’t our favoured type of hotel but it did deliver what we wanted and we had a lovely holiday.

The breakfast is very simple and staff does not replace quickly. The shower Glassdoor was broken and only got repaired after a reminder and 2 days.

Hôtel beau d’extérieur et intérieur. Gros soucis d’insonorisation des chambres : on entend tout nos voisins autour dehors également, dés 7h réveiller par le bruit de chaises tirées par les femmes de ménages horrible!! Pour un 4 étoiles ce n’est pas transcendant, les jaccuzis sont payants et même pas accessibles ( soit disant fermés ) Pour se faire comprendre ( en français) très compliqué puisque presque personne ne le parle c’est dommage. Hôtel que je ne recommande pas !! Nous sommes déçu, pour une si belle île.

L'hôtel en lui même est propre, le Petit déjeuner et le dîner sont bien aussi,cependant concernant les chambres,elles sont avec du carrelage au sol ( moquette dans les couloirs dès la sortie des ascenseurs)et du fait qu'il y du mobilier notamment les chaises avec les pieds en bois et sans patins,ben là c'est le dérangement est assuré ! En effet avec les autres chambres de côté au de dessus les clients qui tirent les chaises à bpas d'heure ben vous dérange ainsi que les femmes d'entretien, même le client que nous avions au dessus qui marchait pieds nus ,nous dérangez, c'est pour vous dire. Je trouve vraiment dommage que cette chaîne d'hôtel n'a pas remédier à ce problème car étant un hôtel pour adultes uniquement,nous ne sommes pas dérangé par les jeux d'enfants mais par ce que je viens de citer ! Du coup le séjour reposant n'était pas au rdv.
