Our stay at the Áurea Washington Irving was more than excellent. The friendly and knowledgeable staff checked in my wife and I and provided suggestions for walking to local sites. The hotel property and rooms are immaculate, spacious and comfortable. The hotel location is perfect for visiting the Alhambra which is steps away. I was surprised to hear from the staff that you can leave the Alhambra from a side gate for a break and return to see the remainder of the Alhambra. The hotel staff treated us more than guests, they treated us like family. I had food poisoning on my last night at the hotel (a restaurant in town) everyone at the hotel helped me recover with special drinks and allowing more time to recuperate.

We had a wonderful stay at Áurea Washington Irving. The hotel is absolutely beautiful — elegant, peaceful, and spotlessly maintained. Our room was extremely comfortable, with thoughtful touches throughout, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating.
One standout moment was our early departure on the final morning. Since breakfast was included in our booking but we were leaving before service started, the team kindly prepared a picnic breakfast for us — complete with menu options. The food was tasty and really appreciated!
The gym is very well equipped, and the rooftop pool is a lovely spot to relax with great views. The hotel is also ideally located for visiting the Alhambra and nearby gardens and parks.
Do note: the hotel is situated at the top of a hill, so returning from the city center involves a bit of an uphill walk — but we considered it part of the workout!
We’d absolutely recommend Áurea Washington Irving for a quiet, comfortable stay in a truly scenic part of Granada.

Hotel has a great location. I had a room on the third floor with a view of the Alhambra.
Very comfortable with lots of amenities, including a clothes steamer.
Room a little dark, as the hallway. Don’t know why dark curtains in the hallway cover the window front. Nice roof terrace, super friendly staff. I had to wait a bit for my room to be ready and decided to wait on the terrace. The young lady at the front desk came to give me my keys when the room was ready, and told me my luggage had already been brought to my room. Delicious chocolate as a welcome gift.
Unfortunately, no space to put my suitcase. Had to move some chairs around to fit it.
I loved the proximity to the Alhambra and enjoyed the nice walk to the center.

Great hotel with lovely, helpful staff, just a short 5min walk to the entrance to the Alhambra. Only downside was the noise from the road just outside our window, so would recommend a room at the back of the hotel.

Great property 2 minutes from the Alhambra. Great staff and restaurant, only downside be careful of Google Maps it will take you into Alhambra parking, and that’s okay as long as you don’t mind the walk with your luggage. Valet parking is also an option.

This was a perfect end to our Spain trip. The hotel is so serene after visiting the busy cities! Granada is bustling down in the city, but coming up here at the end of the day was just amazing! It’s quite a trek up to the hotel, but so scenic. If you’re not able to walk, there are taxi options. Highly recommend staying here, we would certainly book it again!

This hotel is great! Excellent service, design and confort. The restaurant has fantastic food at the breakfast buffet and also for lunch and dinner. The Chocolate sponge dessert is worthy of ordering two and be tempted for a third :)
It has the best location in Granada as it sits in front of the Alabmbra and it's not in town, you have to cling down a beautiful pat to get there, it's a great walk and the setting is amazing.
