I had the top room in the building to myself, which I did not expect - it was a great-sized room with a large closet and bathroom. The suite was excellent. My only issue is that the top floor does not have access to the elevator, so it does require hauling suitcases up the stairs. That would be the only advanced notice I'd say would be helpful. Otherwise, the room and location was great and would choose again.

if u plan to walk from zurich hb, please expect the walk consist of 60% hilly going to the hotel from zurich hb
room size is ok for an expensive city like zurich
but tram station just in front of the hotel
a bit secluded though it still feels safe
check in & room key using your phone so ensure that your phone is always charged coz mine was running out of battery, and the customer service on the phone are not friendly (if u dont mind deal with cold non friendly, with harsh way talking to you after your long day, then ok)

The hotel room itself was quite good an sufficient. I am putting an extremely low score for service for a few reasons.
1. There was not enough communication before check-in on the self check-in procedure
2. The self check-in procedure was not smooth. Issues faced were:
a. Was not able to proceed with payment using Firefox mobile browser. Needed to switch to Chrome.
b. The lockers were not released, thus blocking me from selecting/booking a locker. I needed to call the remote receptionist and explain to them to release all previous bookings.
There was another hotel guest before us that had similar check-in problems. Actually everytime we came down to the lobby, there was someone that seemed to be struggling with the self check-in system. Please test and fix your system.

The hotel does not provide daily housekeeping and this wasnt state upfront..you only know it when you check their apps and it says "additional" cleaning cost CHF 30..very very bad handling, imagine staying for 3 nights without any cleaning or housekeeping with all your towels, bedsheet unchange or trash not thrown.

This was a self check in hotel so you would need to have mobile data and a charged phone all the time with you to get into your room and the hotel. It was so easy. The room was modern grand spacious. The heads were amazing as we overslept past our alarm to take our early train. I wish someone has told me to take the tram from the train stafion instead (buy ticket at the station) because we walked 15min. There are few set of stairs you need to walk up (fun when no luggage with you). Location was still fantastic as we wanted to walk to several areas. Will def return if back in Zurich.

Das Alpenthema ist wunderbar durchdacht und umgesetzt bis ins kleinste Detail, das Bett ein Traum! Auch der zusätzliche Kaffee und Tee auf der Etage habe ich schon mehrmals geschätzt! This was perfect for a one night stay near the train station, the cost made it even better given some hotels were extortionate. This is self check in so you aren't greeeted by anyone. The check in process was efficient and easy, my only comment would be that as all the keys are electronically accessed by your phone, I would have preferred an extra manual chain inside the room.
Rooms itself was spacious and very clean and comfortable. It is at the top of a hill so walking to the train station has a few steps, there is a ramp but it is steep it was fine for us but something to note. Overall, would stay again if needed and recommend for a cheaper stay.

Sehr positiv überrascht, klein aber fein, mit allen Annehmlichkeiten und mit viel Geschmack eingerichtet! Das Bett und Duvet sind super bequem, ich habe herrlich geschlafen. Top ist auch, dass es auf der Etage zusätzlich Kaffee und Tee zur Selbstbedienung gibt, das habe ich sehr geschätzt! Ich komme definitiv wieder.

Great hotel to stay at. Pretty much all electronic with the exception of an optional key card that you configure yourself with easy step-by-step instructions. A few light bulbs dead right at the start. Safe did not work as well. Loved the Bluetooth speakers installed into the ceiling.
