We liked everything about the property, the staff, and the surrounding area. It's in a great location. The hotel is in excellent condition and spotless. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely had a great stay and would certainly book it again when in Zurich.

A lovely stay with easy access to important sites and walkability to tons of restaurants and cafes in the city! The receptionist was extremely helpful in giving us information to make the most of our short stay. We would highly recommend Hotel Alexander!

Very impressed with this hotel. We booked a twin room and arrived around midnight to a friendly and efficient welcome. The room was a good size and the complementary first stocking of the mini-bar was a pleasant surprise. There's also a hot drinks machine in reception that's available for use. Lots of towels, comfortable bed and a good shower, though I cut my leg on the sharp corners of the beds - so beware of those! Breakfast was complementary and offered a good, well-stocked selection of all the usual items. Overall, much better than a standard 3* hotel and I'd return again.

Das Hotel liegt direkt in einer Straße , in der viele Bars sind. Bis in die Morgenstunden laufen viele betrunkene Menschen durch die Straße und grölen laut. An Schlaf ist da kaum zu denken. Dies bei der Buchung unbedingt berücksichtigen!!!! Im Zimmer ging der Fernseher nicht richtig und die Spülung in der Toilette war defekt. Nachdem wir den Portier darauf aufmerksam gemacht haben ließ er die Toilette reparieren. Den Fernseher könnte man nicht reparieren. Leider war nach dem nächsten Spülen die Toilette wieder defekt. Meinen Ärger darüber konnte der Portier gar nicht verstehen. Stattdessen sagte er mir, dass er gab nicht verstehen würde , dass ich die ganze Zeit „meckern“ würde. Eine Entschädigung oder eine Entschuldigung habe ich nicht erhalten.

Average property but not worth the price. Shower head didn’t work majority of the time, air conditioning doesn’t blow any cool air, and the beds are as hard as a rock. The only redeeming quality is the location. Will not be staying at this location again with the many other options in the same area.

Nice hotell in good location, free minibar (Nice!). Well isolated concerning sound (quiet). Ok breakfast. Only bad thing was aircondition which even at highest setting made the room temperature ok (was 20 degrees outside).

The hotel is centrally located in a very walkable area with shopping & dining options. Central train station nearby. It is a basic hotel. It was clean & safe. Air conditioning was not working during our visit in March which is fine if you open the windows. The issue is that the noise from the bars, restaurants & cars won't let you sleep with the windows open. Breakfast was basic & satisfactory. I found it pricey for what it was, but everything is Zurich is expensive. Overall, clean, central, convient hotel.
