Hotel aconchegante e localizado no centro da cidade. Café da manhã super bem servido. Nosso quarto era um quarto família e foi maravilhoso. Super amplo incluindo uma cozinha. Do lado do hotel tem um mercado e com isso pudemos comer no quarto à noite usando a cozinha do quarto. Para o inverno funcionou super bem.

Nossa estadia foi excelente. Os funcionários eram muito gentis e cordiais (especialmente o funcionário João). O quarto era amplo, limpo, muito confortável. O café também era bem gostoso, mas foi pago à parte. Recomendaria 1.000 vezes.

We stayed in one of their new room categories that is a mini-apartment, equipped with a small kitchen and living space. We were there for a week with 4 of us (two parents, two tweens) and this space worked well. They kids slept on the sofa bed which was comfortable, but note the bed and living space are not divided - it's all one room. The bathroom was spacious and newly updated, and the toilet in a separate room. The room was newly renovated and furnished so we were really happy with the condition. There was a small leak in the ceiling one day, but the management was able to have someone fix it while we were out the next day. I'd had hoped for more of an apology for the inconvenience. Location by train station is central - the area is the dirtiest in Geneva, but it's also where most of the affordable hotels are and I also feel safe.

The hotel lobby is beautiful and decorated still for th holidays which made it even nicer. Customer service was excellent at the desk throughout our stay. We stayed in an executive suite. It was large, beautiful and very clean with a fridge, tea and coffee facilities and complimentary still water. They provide extra pillows, lots of towels of all sizes and lovely array of bath items (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, shower cap, etc). We were able to keep our bags safely in the hotel after check out while we continued exploring the city. We had dinner one night in the hotel restaurant. The meal was lovely (but a bit over priced). Food and the service was very good. Overall wonderful experience here and would recommend for future travellers.

The hotel is very “tired” and desperately needs renovation! Nobody warned me about the additional cost for the small dog we had at the check-in. The room we had (959) was so dirty, that I have doubts it was ever cleaned (especially under the additional bed - sofa). The sink was leaking, and, most important, it was EXTREMELY cold all the time. Just really cold! The towels in the bathroom were always wet - don’t know why. But most important - I don’t know, if this is normal for Swiss hotels or for Hotel Royal in particular - but during the whole stay of ours there was a strong odor of cannabis on our floor (5). I mean, it this for the money I pay? 4 stars, really? Would never stay here again.
