Rimkaeng Resort

Rock hard beds. Rooms FULL of all kinds of bugs. Old. Unclean. 3 days, no housekeeping, not even a towel change. Terrible service from most staff. No help for guests. One day we wanted to go to town and asked for a car or taxi, they asked why we wanted to go to the riverside town, we said "for swimming" and they told us we cannot go because it is too dangerous and walked away. We ended up literally hitchhiking into town to have a wonderful time swimming in the river and eating lunch at a much nicer hotel. We called our driver from Bangkok to come and get us a day early, when we went to return the keys, they didn't even ask why we were throwing away the price of a nights accommodation to flee from their terrible hotel at 9pm at night. They didn't care about anything.

The room was OK for cleanliness and simple facilities. The outlook to the Lake is nice (but the Lake is very low of water). We were the only Guest staying in this very big hotel which felt strange. The smell from the water in the bathroom was horrible! we tried not to use the bathroom because each time you flushed the toilet or washed our hands the smell of the water was overwhelmingly bad. We did not have a shower during our stay because of the water smell.
