Ocean Club West

Our room was large and comfortable. Staff was all very helpful and friendly. The entire place is beautiful and well cared for. The restaurant was good and the staff there was excellent. We would stay here again, but there are 2 things that jumped out to us that needed attention. 1) For the number of guests at this resort there are very few chairs around the pool. Most of the space is gardens, which is beautiful, but guest left the area angry ever day due to not being able to find a chair at the pool particularly when it was very windy at the beach. 2) The tennis racquets and balls they say they have for the guests are in terrible shape. The balls are mostly entirely dead and the grips on the racquets are disgusting as they seem to wind electrical tape on instead of actual tennis grips. We left our tennis stuff at home since the website said it was available for our use on site but that was very disappointing. The Pickleball equipment was better and more appropriate for playing than the tennis equipment.

My wife and I stayed at Ocean Club West for a quick babymoon/birthday getaway and we were very pleased with our experience. The property is extremely well kept with beautiful landscaping, nice rooms, and a perfect location on the beach. The overall vibe of the resort is very relaxing and inviting for anyone from one guest to a whole family. The food at the resort restaurant was delicious with great flavors and perfect execution, especially on the seafood. We enjoyed breakfast every morning and lunch a couple of times as well. Overall, the service was exceptional. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful through out our entire stay. We would absolutely stay here again and would also highly recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful well maintained property! Only negative is there is no complimentary breakfast like some of the other resorts offer. 1st floor 1br was AMAZING!

Great for family

O hotel é bom mas pelo valor da diária esperava bem mais. Sentimos falta de não ter café da manhã no sistema buffet. Se você chega na praia em frente ao hotel 09:30 da manhã, praticamente todas as cadeiras já estarão reservadas com toalhas. Achamos que falta o hotel intervir nesse ponto, de não permitir que isso aconteça. Muitos turistas só vão pra praia de fato próximo ou depois do almoço, deixando várias cadeiras ociosas. Faltam opções saudáveis de almoço no restaurante do hotel. Ponto alto é ser pé na areia e Grace beach na nossa opinião é a melhor praia de TCI.

First off, the location of this resort is probably the best on the island other than proximity to snorkeling, that is a few miles away. It is incredibly quiet at night around the resort. We returned to this resort as it is great for kids with close proximity between pool, rooms and fabulous beach. The staff is generally friendly especially the security and pool staff, though felt the front desk staff could be a bit more welcoming and helpful. I also wish that they would offer deals for returning customers and/or last minute extensions. No one was in our room the next day after our booking (entertained staying another night) and they wouldn’t give even a small discount for an 8th night, still $920/night. Kinda spendy for an average 4 star room. Room floors could use more cleaning also. Overall very satisfying place. Kayaks and beach games available at waterfront as well as bikes but definitely on the riskier side biking along the nearby roads. Almost no shoulder anywhere and have to adapt to the cars on the left. Decent grocery store 1/2 mile away but prices make Hawaii look cheap by comparison! $10 for eggs, lettuce, cereal or a pack of cheese slices, pretty wild!

This was our second visit. First was 7 years ago. The layout is nice and convenient. Near the beach and pool area. Dining options are good but limited. Service staff are very nice and housekeeping does a fine job. Quiet and restful.

Very safe, delightful area.

We rented 2 bedroom partial ocean view. Pros: beach is amazing, grounds are clean, close to shops/restaurants, can always get a chair. Cons: sofa was unusable, bed was rock hard, balcony didn’t include lounge chairs, bartenders were great, penalty charges if you lose your wristband or towel card. Two of our towels were swiped by the pool and they wanted to charge us $20/towel. Not sure who took them. Gym was warm.

It was a beautiful spot on Grace bay. We walked every day on the beach and to town. Food service was great especially the sushi rolls. A coffee shop would be the only thing I would add.

The ocean club resort was nice and clean. All of the staff were very friendly. My biggest complaint with our stay involved the room. We have a studio suite with a king bed, which was very comfortable . The decor was a kind of coastal cottage, but they had a little bit too much stuff cluttering the room. There were no convenient outlets near the nightstands to plug in our phones. The alarm that was there did not appear to work. Nowadays, even older hotels, they can provide a lamp that has a USB outlet to plug your phone into it. There was a galley kitchen as you walked in the door. As far as I am concerned this was just wasted space. Could’ve enlarged the bathroom. May be a little bit more or had more closet space since a washer and dryer took up the other half of the closet. In addition, the hot water was limited to whatever the in room hot water tank held. Ran out of hot water a couple of times. Speaking of water, the resort did not have any bottled water on it. I prefer to have bottled water and it was not even possible to purchase it at the resort. Lastly, our room faced the tennis court, and with the weather being so nice, we enjoyed having fresh air in our room. With that though, can all the noise from people playing tennis early in the morning and later in the evening, and also the noise of all the workers in the morning, rolling carts around.

Ocean Club West is not a huge property, which makes it very nice and not crowded. It is very comfortable, had all of the amenities that we needed, and was very convenient to shopping and other restaurants.

We have stayed here several times. We typically stay for 2-3 nights before we head to a private villa for a week. In general we love this property due to it's location, vibe and great staff. The beach is awesome as well. We had an issue checking in this time in that our room and several other people's rooms were not ready at 4pm. Given that all the flights arrive in the morning and we had been hanging around for hours this was a real drag and frankly unacceptable. Also, in the past they greeted us with a cocktail and the bellman helped us with our luggage. Not this time. But once we got past the bad check in experience we had a lovely time. We stayed in a junior suite which was spacious and very comfortable. The screened-in porches are the best. The sushi at Solana was delicious and the waitstaff was super friendly.We will be back.

Beautiful resort!

We really enjoyed our stay at OCW. Our room was had an amazing view of the water and was very nicely furnished. The resort was quiet, great food, easily accessible bar and restaurant, clean beach towels and plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas at any time of the day. The beach is stunning. The resort is convenient for walking into town for shopping and restaurants. Can’t wait to go back!

Very nice hotel and well located. Food was outstanding and staff was absolutely amazing, especially Monique at the Solana restaurant/bar area.
