It was cheap, but my room had a curtain falling off and the bathroom door handle coming off. Very noisy with people coming in and out all through the night. Never again, but Cheap.. A TENT WOULD BE A BETTER OPTION

We decided not to stay (first time ever for us) as it was so unlike its description on hotels.com and its web site and Facebook pages. It is really rooms in a poor condition over a pub, with very little to commend it vastly overpriced for what was on offer. No restaurant, very poor state of repair overall, and a fight in the bar will we were there. Avoid

Location was good.
Staff were kind and responsive to requests however, the room furnitures need upgrading.
Though they've repainted the room furniture and fittings needs imptovement.
Pillows doesn't give adequate neck support as they were all so flat- 2 pillows piled together wont suffice.
Water stopped whilst im in the middle of a shower!!! Took 10-15 mins before it resumed but the flow was still very slow.

I am disabled so no lift and stairs with no help offered. No internet so tv did not work. Kettle did no work. Advertised with board outside saying home cooked food- no food available. Breakfast was good at £8.50. Would definitely not recommend

Firstly the SMELL OF SEWERS was overpowering.
Taking freezing cold showers takes a bit getting used to.
I had booked 3 nights I was so disgusted with the smell and cold water I checked out after 2 nights I told the Asian man at the reception that he can use the money I paid for the 3rd night to get his Boiler Fixed.
Stay if you have more money than sense!

Clean room, No Wi-Fi, No restaurant, looks like it has been closed for some time, except when used for breakfast, pile of mattresses in reception area bit off putting, parking for bikers was excellent with the ability to park in a secure area provided by staff. Reception was a bit confusing would have liked to have been informed about how the Breakfast worked and what time etc. I would say in its heyday it was an impressive place. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for, you get a clean room, helpful staff and secure bike parking plus its great value.

Check in was quick and easy, the room was clean but there was very little space and no coat hooks or hooks for towels in bathroom.
The beds were uncomfortable (seemed old) and the single bed was very squeaky and made lots of noise every time my son moved.
The hotel is dog friendly but costs an extra £10 per night. There was very little space for our dogs bed.
The room was also very warm.
The carpet on the stairs looked like it had not been hoovered in a long time.

Very basic room, could do with some improvements such as soap in the bathroom, a spoon to stir tea/coffee. Tea bags just loose, would be better in a sachet. Didn’t dare try any food in the bar/dining room due to the large rats seen running in the area near the kitchen and bin area. No housekeeping, nobody came into my room during my stay to make the bed, change the towels and empty the waste bin in the room, disappointing. On a positive note, the room was warm and the bed very comfortable. Lots of road noise.

2 useless tiny soap bars given when requested
No decaffeinated coffee available in hotel, and no effort made to get some
Bathroom mat stank of mould
Toilet made very strange banging noise when cistern refilling
Toilet seat detached
Bedding and curtains looked old and dingy
Hall carpet very stained and stank of smoke
Booked breakfast with evening bar staff, who appeared lazy and disinterested and message not passed on, so “No chef booked”
Given cup of hot water only for breakfast
Greggs suggested, where omelette roll was very unpleasant
Will be a cold day in hell when I spend money here again

The good news is friendly staff, easy check in, the room was okay and the breakfast very nice.
The bad and really bad news is: the first room I was given had a radiator that didn’t work at all and the room was freezing. I mentioned this to staff who initially told me there was nothing that could be done. I persisted and asked to move rooms…
I was given another room. In this room the radiator barely worked. Just hot at the bottom. This is not a recent problem as there are other reviews commenting on this.
The shower was tiny and took an age to heat up
Flushing the toilet sounded like a rocket taking off.I didn't dare flush it in the night.
There was mould above the shower and the bathroom looked and felt like it hadn't been cleaned properly in an age.
The car park is tiny, perhaps 4 or 5 cars maximum. I was lucky, during my stay it was quiet.
