Good location and easy to walk to downtown from. Close to bus stops on the line to and from the ferry terminal. Breakfast was great, and it was open for a long time.

The hotel itself does feel a little bit older, but it was a great one night stay in Victoria. The location was great, walkable to the pier and fisherman's wharf. They even have a little snack bar with some snacks and fresh lemonade when you walk in, which is quite a small thing to bring up in a review, but it made my whole day seeing that and felt very welcoming. The included breakfast was quick and easy with lots of choices. They have quite a few things in the building like a bike rental shop which would have been fun if we had more time there. Parking (underground or above ground) is $18 per night but that was easy to figure out and the staff were very helpful at check in.

My husband and I came to Victoria to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, and our lovely Samoyed dog Max joined us on this special trip. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was lovely, cosy, and very comfortable, making us feel right at home. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and their warm hospitality made our anniversary even more memorable. The location is also excellent — it is conveniently close to the harbour, making it easy to enjoy the beautiful waterfront and nearby attractions. We truly appreciated the pet-friendly atmosphere and the overall comfort of our stay. We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Victoria. Sai from Toronto

The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is very nice. The rooms are not the most updated, but I wouldn't let that deter you. The exterior of the building is beautiful. A nice walk to the rest of the city.

The room was nice, quite clean although I personally found the mattress to be a little firm for my liking,but that’s just me. The breakfast was very good with no shortage of food and very attentive staff. Overall it was an excellent weekend in a beautiful city, will likely book there again

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. First, I was traveling with a stroller, yet I was assigned a room on the first floor that was **not accessible by elevator**. To reach the room, I had to carry the stroller up and down two flights of stairs every time we left or returned. This was extremely inconvenient and has actually left me with back pain. If a guest is traveling with a stroller or has mobility needs, room assignment should take that into consideration. Second, one of the reasons I booked this hotel was the advertised buffet breakfast. Since one of our mornings was on Canada Day, the buffet was not available because the hotel was serving pancakes at a community event. Instead, we were given a "grab-and-go" breakfast that consisted of a cupcake, a small juice, and a snack bar. This was not an acceptable replacement for the buffet breakfast that was included with the booking. Finally, there was a cloth laundry bag in the room. I didn't notice the small note indicating that it was not complimentary, so I used it to carry our dirty clothes. I was surprised to find a **$25 charge** on my bill for the bag. I understand there may have been a notice, but it was easy to miss, and charging $25 for what appears to be a simple laundry bag felt excessive. Overall, this stay did not meet my expectations. Better accessibility, clearer communication, and delivering the amenities that guests pay for would greatly improve the guest experience.

Easy on line or in person check in. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Allowed us an early check in which was lovely after a very long day of travel. Breakfast was great and overall just a wonderful stay.

Very nice setting with a pretty breakfast room and a nice outdoor seating area. Some aspects needed updating, but it’s an excellent location.

It was myself, two teen daughters and our 5 mos old pup. First, they greeted us with a bowl and lil bone full of poop bags for our lil guy, we loved it. They gave us a room on the first floor (awesome for pup visits)… The room was simple and clean and enough room for us three gals and our stuff. It’s a cool building with great walking all around. We will indeed stay again … and we feel loyal to their kindness. Breakfast was great, the staff is accommodating and kind. Plenty of options for most dietary concerns.

Location was excellent

The hotel’s location in downtown Victoria was great, and we appreciated the basic breakfast included with our stay. The parking under the hotel was also very convenient. Unfortunately, the room had a bad smell, and the furniture and appliances felt very old. We were also disappointed by a rude staff member who was unfriendly and refused to let us pay for extra parking time.

Good parking and location. Spartan rooms with poorly organized cramped kitchenette. The loft rooms look great online but are impractical - made more iffy by a single couch that had had had better days. Bed was comfy though. While moving luggage from my vehicle to the baggage stand, the porter looked bored and did not move a muscle to help, nor offer to even open the door. Underwhelmed.

Overall we had a nice stay. The photos made the room look a lot nicer to be honest, however the breakfast was delicious. My one complaint is there was construction going on directly in front of the property, completely mitigating the fact that it is a waterfront property. This was not noted when I booked nor was it shown on the website. When I was checking out I was asked if I enjoyed my stay, I said yes just that it would have been helpful to know when booking that there would be construction. There was someone sitting behind the desk who instructed the front desk person I was speaking to, what to say, instead of speaking with me directly, feeding her answers to my questions. I found that quite unprofessional. Overall due to this oversight I don’t think I would re book unfortunately, especially for the prices I paid.

Lovely staff, clean hotel and nice breakfast , which are free. Great underground parking too at reasonable rate. We were offered an upgrade which we accepted but really NOT an upgrade as the bed was in the upstairs loft with washroom downstairs an inconvenience actually and no tv upstairs. Did not realize each room has a kitchen which we did not need.
