We booked as we were going to Maker Central at the NEC so very close and convenient. Liked to opportunity to have hotel with a pool too. Booked a family room and to be honest it was a little cramped once the sofa bed was pulled out but otherwise it was fine. The pool was fun the staff great as we managed to lock the locker wrong and she fixed it straight away. The buffet breakfast was great with lots of choice and everything hot and fresh. Would stay there again.

The Hotel was hectically busy. We found it difficult to park. Visibility of information was bad. We were booked into the executive lounge but could not find it. It was displayed as closed for maintenance. Little information although the staff were helpful. We would expect a few biscuits in the room in a four star hotel. Room was OK but no drawer space.

We have stayed here several times. Service is good. Building is showing signs of wear. Food is good although bar has become very expensive. The wine quality had gone backwards although the price had increased

Excellent Hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Room was clean and beds so comfy! Booked as was going to a concert at BP Pulse. So perfect location for it. Quick short walk from hotel to venue. Will be booking again for sure

The put us above nightclub which started pounding at 11:00pm. We moved but my poor 80 year old mother was to tired to move. Next morning her bathroom had a flood which ended up forcing her to move. Very inconvenient.

Close to nec

Excellent staff and really nice place to stay

Convenient but vast, easy to take wrong turnings as signposting told you where you were, but not where to go. Even Reception was poorly signposted, as it was in Lobby A, but there was also Lobby B and possibly C. Took the long route to event because no signposting in hotel. Housekeeping knocked on the door at 10.15 when checkout wasn't until 12 and I was having a lie-in. Overall disappointing.

Really good, only criticism was sofa bed not made up

10 minutes walking to get to NEC or BP pulse Live for shows. Great restaurant in hotel open morning to 10 pm, serving very reasonable cooked food at reasonable price- separate to Brightsmiths which is adjacent and not open until 6 pm so no good for shows. Start order around 5pm for preshow meal.

Awful check in experience - they did not believe that I had already paid for the room. As it was busy, I felt rushed to pay and then had to be refunded when I showed my bank statement. Another guest was allocated the same room by the hotel and entered while I changing. Our room key then didn't work and staff hadn't noted my car registration or that I'd paid for parking.

Ac unit was very very loud and shower cubicle was small and the shower head was about to fall off!

This is a good hotel for visiting Birmingham or the NEC particularly at weekends when the conference season is not happening The rooms are good, the food options are good – the price for accommodation is reasonable at weekends. I think. The parking costs are a rip-off.

Great quick stay, enjoyed the pool and the breakfast! Comfy beds and clean rooms.
