The breakfast was great as was the leisure club attached to the hotel. We used the pool, steam room and sauna twice.

Well past its best days now. Needs. A total revamp.

Good one

- room was clean, but that’s were the good points end. - Horrendously uncomfortable bed and pillow (only 1 per person) - Room temp did nothing despite changing it to the coolest temp - Toilet seat wouldn’t stay up due to handle position of had a toilet lid on your back - Nobody asked how our stay was before we left

Fantastic place, nothing to moan about, the staff are friendly and helpful. the restraunt and pub attached are excellent as well

Hot Buffet breakfast items were cold, other items not replenished eg small croissants. Average overall chain hotel Disappointed that the swimming pool and sauna incurred extra costs

Room had not been cleaned properly, sweet wrapper behind cabinet, glitter on bathroom floor and bits under the edge of the bed.

Good value for money

Cracking hotel, rooms clean and tidy, maybe a little dated but all the things you need are there. Restaurant was a little limited but good deals available if you fancy burger chips and a free drink… I’ll be staying again…

Generally the hotel was OK. I was a bit shocked to find that there was a £7 charge to use the pool, I asked to have a look at it before paying and it is a little tiny kidney shaped thing that is no good for actually swimming, more a dip pool. So didn't bother. Next, on this particular night the card machines went down and as it is a cashless hotel no one was able to purchase anything from the bar/restaurant. They couldn't even book it to the room. This was until one of the customers managed to get them to do it the old fashioned way by using the paper swipe machine.

There were functions going on for 2 nights which is good for the hotel, but on 1 of the nights there was a function that included children using corridors as a racing challenge , very dangerous and very noisy

Hotel is very dated, carpets had holes in them, and there where electric heaters in my room. View from the window was out over the roof of the hotel which was covered in moss, litter and cigarette butts. Great location and grounds but needs a makeover.

Excellent experience

Facade looks great like reception and front room/restaurant. However, reception staff not engaging at all. Contacted the hotel for a request as celebrating a special day but no response nor from the reception when checked-in. Room is dated and dusty - cupboards/wardrobe has been forgotten together with the skirting boards on the hallways. Breakfast is appalling. Hash brown tasted like fried from an old oil with varied flavours. Food was not topped up. Enquired for a top up for a croissant but got no feedback. Cold juices were bland and tasted like diluted with water. Amenities like pool and gym are NOT FREE!!!! Have to pay £7/8 to use. Been to other hotels before and these amenities were free. The reason I book this is on the amenities hence disappointed. Over all not a great experience for what I have paid for on our special day. Not worth the money.

Parking

The rooms were not clean: dust on window, radiator, lamp and a hair in my bed During breakfast we struggled to find a clean bowl

We stayed here during the duration of my professional exams, which was being held at the same venue. The bar and restaurant provide good food at good prices. The lobby, restaurant and halls are nicely decorated. When we first checked in, we were initially given a room which was already occupied by someone. The person who served us didn’t volunteer any information on her own either, about how to get our room, or where breakfast will be served. This basic information was only provided on asking. The room was old and tired, the curtains were dusty and didn’t cover the whole length of the windows with an overlap, the pillow was hard and extremely uncomfortable, and the air conditioning didn’t cool at all. Our room also had a connecting door to the adjacent room, which let in a lot of noise from that room.
