We really enjoyed our stay at the Gosforth Park Hotel. It was unplanned, as we had to reschedule due to issues with another location. But we able book a room easily with Gosforth. The staff were wonderful and accommodating during our 4 day stay. Prices are wonderful, the rooms are large and spacious, the gym and poor are fantastic. Could not recommend more.

Room was comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Disliked walking out the main entrance where around 8 people standing blocking the area. Surely there is a area away from the main entrance for smokers

The Grand Hotel is a good choice after an evening meeting at Newcastle races as it is a short walk from the racecourse. The bar area is warm and welcoming however our room was rather disappointing. The room was in the basement with only a small window. On arrival the room was cold and the main heating did not work though there were portable heaters. Also there was a lot of dust behind the bedside tables.

Room was a bit delapidated - bathroom was nice though! They definitely invested in the reception / entrance and left then parts of the hotel alone. Heating didn’t work so it had an oil filled portable radiator in which wasn’t enough to keep the room warm. The phone didn’t work so we rang externally to order room service and were told ‘ah well you’ll need to come down’. Also the man in front of us checking in was being moved due to some ‘large’ insects in his original room

The property was very nice on the inside, the outside looked very tired and dated. One thing to mention if you wanted to use the spa you had to pay £7.00 per person per day, which I was very disappointed with because I thought it was included in the price.

Very old room and very dirty. Curtains hanging off and furniture from the 80s. Whole place needs refurb or knocking down. Every cup I turned over was filthy. Will never stay again.

Power tripped in room when we went to use beside lamps. Staff could not get all power back on so we had to move rooms at 9.15 on the night after we had unpacked everything earlier in the day. Staff support was good but not ideal after returning to the hotel.
