Very decent 4 star property

We very much enjoyed our stay.

Just returned from a 2-night stay for a wedding. Sadly we didn’t have much time to explore the hotel & grounds, but everywhere we saw was lovely and staff were very friendly. Only negative was the HEAT. Our room was unbearably hot, even with a fan which was placed in there on request. The whole upper hotel was sweltering, far hotter than it was outside or downstairs. Made sleep very difficult.

Room was good restaurant a little pricy & had an ant problem. Overall OK but too far from my work to use regularly

We wouldn't go back! The property needs some upgrade and check in checkout was just not very good. Felt like the staff were a bit rude at times. No aircon and fans were on timer.

Excellent hotel food was amazing

We booked two rooms, one room was fine just a little dated but as expected. The other room had a leaking AC unit which had flooded the floor and been going on so long it had caused mould in the carpet, the rubbish in the bin hadn’t been emptied which included papers with previous guests name and email address on and there was toilet paper just flung out the window. When mentioning this to reception we were refunded the £5 spa fee (mentioned below). Outside the rooms we were surprised by a £5 fee to use the spa, which would have been ok but the pool was freezing (and I’ve swam in the Irish Sea!) and the towel provided was so threadbare it had multiple holes in. The gym was tiny, and I can’t believe the nerve of charging £65 a month for a membership to basically use a peloton and freezing pool. The redeeming part was the staff at breakfast and who served afternoon tea. They were friendly and attentive and the food was ok.

Good hotel, good service, good food and good value for money.

Recent successful refurbishment while retaining warm welcoming environment. Handily placed but spacious outdoor area and good parking. Very efficient air conditioning only requiring guests to use it fairly i e as if they were paying for it in their own home.

Overall alright, however the spa was very basic

The hotel is situated in a lovely location. The room was clean and tidy and the hotel was very presentable. The staff were helpful and friendly particularly a staff member called Ian who is an assist to their team.

I stayed here for 1 night as it was close to a conference I needed to attend. Nice enough hotel from the outside, the rooms were quite dated and quite small. Quite noisy, you could hear the people in the room next door. The hotel room door lock kept getting stuck, which was a fire hazard, I couldnt lock the deadlock at night, the staff came and fixed this immediately, but still not good these things should be checked. Room lighting was quite bad as well. For breakfast, the lady in the breakfast room was quite rude when I questioned her whether the coffee machine was broken. For the price, I would probably choose other hotels close by next time.

Great hotel, peaceful, friendly staff and clean rooms

Toilet didn’t flush, cold in the room, and mistakes can happen, but not to hold the double amount of money for over a week.Dissapointed

The room we stayed in was nothing like what was advertised. We paid extra expecting certain standards, such as a seating area, but were instead crammed into a tiny space where it was difficult to even move around. When we spoke to the manager, we were told that the issue was with Expedia, which apparently displayed only one accurate photo out of 15. Unfortunately, this ruined our New Year's Eve, as we spent very little time in the room and opted to eat out instead. Be cautious when booking with them to avoid a similar experience.
