Beautiful hotel in a perfect town location.

Obviously you can’t expect luxury at the price they charge, but this is absolutely fine as a cheap base for one night.

The hotel room and entire top floor was incredibly hot which is not nice in hot weather, this wouldn’t have been a problem if the air conditioning wasn’t broken on the entire top floor. There was also no way to change the temperature of the water in the shower so that was also very hot and it gave off a strange smell when used. Hotel lift was also broken the entire weekend and being on the third floor and no staff offering to help in a 4 star hotel seems a bit of a let down

Very quiet area of Derby and very close to ships, pubs, etc.... Will definitely stay here again, beautiful building

This was a small friendly hotel in a good location. The staff were pleasant and we felt that we had value for money. The building is in need of a little maintenance, and the cooked breakfast was ample. There were a few parking spaces available at no addional charge.

Historic landmark within the Cathedral Quarter - and quiet! Short walk to riverside walkway and pedestrian precincts, as well as the Cathedral

Lovely hotel with lots of character. A little tired in parts but clean and comfortable.

The staff were friendly however it took a long time to check in as there was only ome person,then i was dissapointed as id booked a superior room and the room definetley didnt represent this,there was no plug that fit for the bath no hair dryer .The hotel is lovely and has some great features but the rooms are very basic and tired and in need of a re vamp ,the bed was very large though

Breakfast was good ,I had a full English, room was clean . Hotel is close to the centre.

There was thick dust on the bathroom door, towels and bedding had black dirt marks on and the carpet hadn’t been hoovered and covered in bits. Walls and skirtings really dirty. This is no way a 4 star hotel. On the plus side the staff are friendly

Clean and tidy room, local to the city centre the only downfall was the lift not working

The room was very comfortable and a high standard of cleanliness. The bar was very well stocked and the staff very friendly and helpfull. Parking looked ok but wasn’t an issue for me as I came on train. Many thanks for a memorable stay. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Old traditional building and on surface looks ok. Some minor decortiin issues, worn carpet, limited lighting and couldn't get a/c working but that could be user error. Average booking in expirience.

Very basic, run down & out dated. Someone else hair in the shower - stains on soft furnishings. No atmosphere. Beautiful building drastically lacking some TLC great location - fine for an overnight stay if visiting for an event, and spending no time in the hotel. Wouldn’t pay more than £40 a night - stay at the nearby premier inn

Friendly, great breakfast and lovely hotel and great location .

Really lovely building with friendly helpful staff and excellent value for money. With a deep clean (particularly in the bathroom) and some renovation to bits of tired infrastructure (chipped furniture, old carpet), this could be really excellent and well worth twice the current price.
