The staff were great. The only thing to moderately moan about was the bathroom in room 3 was a bit small, but we have stayed in room 4 previously and that was fine.

Overall i was very happy with my stay here. The room was very nice. The bed for me was comfy but maybe a little too soft for some people. The "fast start" breakfast was cooked perfect for me and was nice quality. Check-in was easy. Parking can be a bit tricky if you arrive at a busy time! I emailed in the morning with questions about my stay but didn't receive a reply. I would definitely stay here again all things considered.

What a great stay! Lovely room, very clean and comfortable. And we had a great dinner and huge breakfast in the restaurant with wonderful service. We will stay again!

We arrived at the Sawmills having made a last minute booking. On arrival we noticed the room was immaculately clean. Despite our booking being a dog friendly room, there wasn't a dog hair in site. Theo and the team couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and at home. We had a lovely evening meal and drinks in the garden, slept like logs and then an amazing breakfast next morning. Worth every penny of the incredibly low price we paid. We will certainly be back and hopefully stay a little longer next time. Thanks for making our wedding anniversary a very special one ❤️

The food was good with plenty of food on your plate, accommodation was very clean and we were made very welcome by the staff, would recommend for a short stay

This was our 2nd stay at The Sawmills, we actually ended up in the same room ! Staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. Food was very good - special shout out for the breakfast which is awesome !!!! Looking forward to staying again later this year 👍

It was very clean and stylish. There were just a couple of glitches which stops it from being excellent, although they were both fixed quickly when mentioned.

A great accommodation option, with amenities in the right place.

Lovely staff. Lots of parking Room had a nice clean comfortable bed. The bathroom was small but very clean. It did smell very damp though. The room had a hairdryer and lovely tea and coffee facilities. The room was a bit noisy - could hear lots of bottles being thrown out after closing time and people walking through the corridor. The breakfast was fantastic - lovely menu and both things I had were delicious and large portions. Overall good place to stay for a few nights.

Really lovely room and lovely staff. There is a nice vibe in the restaurant. My only complaint was menu choice in the restaurant. The menu choices weee limited, naturally a lot of fish. But if you don’t eat fish or like curries there isn’t much choice. I would suggest adding a pasta dish to the menu.

we really enjoyed our stay and wished we had stayed longer in a nice quiet area big car park amazing food at dinner and breakfast good value for money and excellent friendly staff rooms big an comfortable amazing rain shower and a great idea of seperate duvets no more hubby hogging the duvet we had a dog friendly room but didnt have a dog which just booked a last minute stay on the way home from cornwall for our anniversary if in the area would stay again

Both the venue and staff were first class, after a long drive down for business they couldn’t have been more helpful in checking me in. The selection of food and drink was excellent and the room clean and very comfortable.

Ideal spot for relaxing or travelling.

We have stayed at the Sawmills many times and keep coming back. It is in a beautiful location with great walks on the doorstep, the rooms are super comfy and it is great that there are dog friendly rooms. The breakfast is out of this world as are the Sunday lunches. Staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We’ll be back soon!

Highly recommend. Room was a good size and nicely presented. It is literally above the pub but has it's own entrance and it's not a noisy pub. The breakfast is downstairs in the pub and was very good, cooked to order. We would have happily eaten in the pub in the evening as well, if we weren't out exploring. Idillic location next to the stream with outside seating for a drink in the evening.

Really friendly staff and excellent food. Great location. Well stocked bar with plenty of choice, seating inside and out. Room was spacious but could have been cleaner, there were bits on the floor that made their way onto the pillows then the bed, hairs on the toilet and no soap in the container in the shower. Would definitely go back if ever in the area again.

The staff were all really, really helpful. It was a great place to stay just a few minutes walk from the Sandy Cove Hotel where we were visiting for a wedding. Highly recommended!

Staff were very helpful and the meals were big,great value for money.
